Actually, unless your a pagan during the 17-1800's, I don't think that you have to worry about Halloween being religious to anyone. And Valentine's Day is more Greco-Roman mythology than it is religion. ;)

Still... Neopets celebrates them in a non-religious way. It's not like they put a giant cross on the homepage during Christmas to celebrate Jesus' birth. If anything, Halloween is a holiday for the Haunted Woods and Christmas is a holiday for Terror Mountain. The other 2... they're just Americanized and commercialized holidays nowadays :P

The only sidebars I have had so far are the Christmas and Valentines day one. And that was only for a few days, afterwards they disappeared forever.

What Christmas sidebar? Can someone please give me an image link for it.

Not to start a flame war, but Easter and most of the celebrations (The name Easter, Easter Bunny, eggs, baskets, etc) are from Pagan origin. It celebrates the Vernal Equinox (first day of spring). The ancient Christians took over the day as the celebration of when Jesus was crucified and rose to heaven in an effort to rid the world of paganism, just as they had done for Christmas (taking the spotlight off the Winter Solstice for the same reason).

Just to clarify. :D

It's true, most "christian" holidays were Pagan in origin but the church stole them to draw people to christianity. Then they killed the pagans off to eliminate the competition. Got pride?

EDIT: My roomie last year was a Pagan, well actually she was a Wiccan which is like a more specific breed of Pagan. Needless to say she was awesome
