:P If it were, I bet it would have the main character going up to the Island Mystic, where he would say:

Added Dohring, "Neopets has always been very selective in choosing its business partners and we are extremely pleased with the opportunity to work with such a quality studio as Warner Bros. Pictures. Oh, you mean the carefully selected spyware ads, or the ones advertising Bowflexes, diet pills, and "free" iPods?

I can see the plot now:

Kyle the Kacheek's owner was kidnapped by Jhudora! OHNOES!1!! He must venture Neopia to find her again, on the way meeting an "unforgettable" assortment of lively characters (who will shortly be released as Happy Meal prizes at your nearest McDonald's location).

Except it can't be "Kyle" the Kacheek, it'll have to be "Cutiepie12999983746neo", and the "unforgettable cast" will be comprised of Ronald McDonald, Hillary Duff, and the Lucky Charms midget.

:o The beginning will be Jhudora and the owner on a Nokia cell phone.

J: Do you like banner ads.
O: Sure.
J: What's your favourite?
O: Um... the kill the cockroach one, I guess, but I like them all.
J: How about we play a game?
O: What game?
J: I ask you a question and if you get it right, I won't kidnap you.
O: Where are you?
J: Who cares. Here's your question: Who will get pregnant first? J. Lo, Jessica Simpson, or Britney Spears?
O: Jessica Simpson, no doubt.
J: WRONG! It's Britney Spears!
O: That can't be! I see that ad about 530058 times a day!
J: Too bad. (Kidnaps and leaves a ransom note using a Bic pen on a Post-It-Note)

According to my boyfriend (who is a film student) NC means No Children.

I think it would be great if the movie was PG-13 or R (for the US scale). I mean, some of those pets have on very little clothes, and we all know they want to say bad things. :D My pets have not worn clothes since I got them.

IN aussie we have:

G: General Viewing
PG: Parental Guidance Recommended
M15+: Recommended for 15 years or over
MA15+: REstricted to children under 15
R: Restricted to ppl under 18

I think it should be PG, you know put a little violence in it, but still put the cute stuff in...

:D Another Aussie! Good stuff!

I think they've also got another unnofficial rating. C for children, though nobody ever really uses that one. You see it in daytime tv quite often often though.

And with R, don't you mean 'Restricted to ppl over 18'? :P

Anyway, about the movie. All jokes aside, I reckon that this movie will do reasonably well. I mean, a movie is like the Queen in Chess. Use it well, and it becomes invaluable. Screw it up and your queen will be devoured by a measly pawn. Since Neo is Doug's tender cash cow, he'll do all he can to milk the most out of it. And if the movie is crap, well...

:roflol: You would bring that back up wouldn't you? :roflol:

Seriously, I think they'll save the Mystic for the ready-to-release video of "Usul's Gone Wild", only available for the "older, adult players" by TV order for the extreme value of $19.99.

...and if you order NOW and pay with your credit card, they'll throw in a free UGW shirt and beer stein!

Whoo-hoo! It's crazy usuls on spring break in Cancun, baby! :P

I want that shirt...

I'll be able to express my love for Neopets in a cool adult way!

Trick wrote:I didn't realise ratings were so different in other countries x) In the UK it's:

U - Universal, for everyone.
PG - parental guidance recommended for those under 12 (I'm assuming 12 dues to the next one...)
12A - For everyone over 12, under 12's can watch if with an adult.
12 - Must be over 12
15 - Over 15s
18 - Over 18s.

The latter makes no sense especially in Scotland where you are an adult at the age of 16 (but then again that means not being able to drink til your 18, or drive til your 17 makes little sense either). That might be the same for England & Wales - I'm not sure. (Also I think there is a Uc which is like universal but aimed at kids exclusively, eg the Wiggles or something like that).

I'd be surprised if neopets was anything other than a U here, I'd be delighted if it was a 12A though xD

Well, I think they should create a special rating for the movie. 15A. Watch as Sloth's new petpets burst quite graphically out of unsuspecting neopets chests, and leave a mark that looks surprisingly like the Pepsi symbol.

See? Now there's a movie that sounds interesting. ;) lol

Mon Mar 28, 2005 2:10 pm

Woot, Usuls gone wild. What Hannah REALLY wants to do :P

Anyway, the ratings in canada are basicly the same, with the ages changed,

G-General Viewing
PG-Parental Guidence, but anyone can go
PG-13-Anyone can go, but it is suggested the parents let their children go.
14A Under 14 not allowed, unless with someone 18 or over.(I hated this rating :P )
18A-Under 18 not allowed, unless with someone who is 18 or over.
R-Only people 18 or over are allowed, no exceptions(Very few movies are rated this in Canada)

Also, another thing I have noticed is whatever a movie is rated in the U.S., it will be 1 less severe rating in canada. For example, if a movie was rated R in the states, it would be 18A here.

My guesse is that the Neopets movie will be rated PG, just because they will mention dung...ALOT

No they mean they carefully selected the ad companies that contain spyware ads, etc, etc.

Mon Mar 28, 2005 2:27 pm

Will the movie be a cheap one like Jimmy Neutron ones or animated like the disney one?

I think Neopets won't fall from this movie like the other media shows. The difference is that Neopia is an english-based internet site and is quite different in communication etc.

Meanwhile the addiction that drives Neopets I guess doesnt drive the players to the cinemas so if nobody watches it then nothing will happen.

Mon Mar 28, 2005 3:10 pm

Meh, even if it's like A or something but it won't, I'll just download the DVD when it comes out. :P

You see, I don't give about ratings. Hell, I watch Family Guy, The Simpsons, Malcolm, King of the Hill and the such. I don't give a crap.

It's not like they can see me.

The whole movie in a nutshell:

Millions of years ago.....
These creatures inhabited the planet called Neopia...

Today in 20XX, two children named Adam and Donna are playing:

Adam: Let's go around town, Donna!
Donna: Hey! Look, the Pink Poogle twins!
PP1: Adam! Donna, we bring you important news!
Adam: What?!
PP2: Lord Kass has come back! As a ghost!
Donna: Let me get this straight, there's a Darigan Ghost Neopet now?!

Oh it's a windy and sunny da.....Oh damn. That's what I get for listening to Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 soundtracks.

PP1: We need your help!
