I've decided i want to read more books to my pets (well one in particular) and i was wondering if anyone can reccommend the names of any cheap books i could buy? eg the ones that used to be (or still are) in newbie packs.

Neopian Times Issue 3 is the absolute cheapest book. :P

Try the Booktastic bookstore on Kreludor. There are often lots of books <1000np left after a restock because they don't make a whole lot of profit.

The Magic Paw was one of the ones in the newbie sets, and I agree, the cheapest books are the Booktastic Books.

The ones that have been in the newbie packs are: BIG Book of Puzzles, The Magic Paw and Mystery of the Kougra Paw.
And yeah, most of the Booktastic Books are cheap (usually under 1k), and they're usually in stock at the shop. Also, you can get some books for lower prices if you catch a restock at the main book shop.

If you want books use the main shop, every restock there are books for 400 np and under. Once I got a book for 292np.
