Does anyone know when this movie will come out? A year? Two years? How much longer do we have before the evil surfaces?

My guess is a few years. Why? Animation takes time :).

And LOL at the ads in the movies. I bet that there will be some animated product placement ;).

I believe one of the previous articles said it should be out in two to three years. A lot can happen in that amount of time, though.

You may have heard about some other rather exciting news that we announced this week. Neopets is going to be making a movie!!! We will be working with Warner Brothers on this so it should be a really professional, exciting film. Adam and I will be doing everything in our power to make sure the film is as true to Neopets as possible and that the story is top notch.

That was well written. I really do hope that Donna and Adam have say in what is and isn't done re: the movie.

Something everyone should be aware of. Do NOT bring the movie up on the neoboards, especially if you are poking fun, complaining, etc. A number of people have been frozen! for talking about the movie. Once again, the site does not tolerate criticism.

There has to be some referance to us, like the character looking at a Pink Poogle Toy, and squeezes it or something.

"Hey, I like this toy!"
"Hey! You can squeeze it's belly!"
*SQUEEZE*
"ARGH! I HATE THOSE STUPID BANNER ADS!"
*SQUEEZE*
"AAAHHH! THEY FREEZE TOO MANY PEOPLE UNFAIRLY!"

:roflol: Wouldn't surprise me!

I would never watch a Neopets movie in the theaters, and just on a general principle, I wouldn't rent it or buy it either. It's a shame that it has to be going this way.

I think a Neopets movie would be kinda cool...Sorta. A little corny too.
:roflol: All the Neopets eating McDonald's and General Mills cereal, that'd be pretty funny, although knowing TNT, it is a possibilty. Make as much money as they can.

I wonder how much power they really have over the film.

I also can't help but wonder about their selected of Warner Brothers. The majority of recent movies released by that company are live-action. I am trying to be upbeat about it though, because WB has some high quality films under its belt, but then again it has some that I wouldn't be too proud about either. And I personally do not like some of their recent animated movies or Television shows, but there are others that I enjoyed. I suppose we will have to wait until we hear more about the production team, talent, etc.,

Anyone who plays Neopets and announces it publicly faces consequences at our school, mostly in the form of teasing. So if anyone else plays it, they keep heir mouth shut.

Now, knowing that the majority (i.e not all of them) of players are girls under the age of 12, you can guess that this movie won't be M-Rated, or even going so far as PG. It'll be a downright feel-good-fest of G.

Also, quite often, the writers of the story have more say than the person that came up with the idea. Does that make sense? I mean that, like, in the Harry Potter movies, J.K most likely wanted to add heaps more content, but the director and writers were probably complaining that it was already too long, and cuts had to be made. And that is what I feel will happen to the Neo movie. Adam and Donna will have a lotta awesome ideas for the movie, like a big war, or Sloth chagning everyone topiles of sludge or rampaging Pink Poogle Toys emmitting supersonic sound waves at Advertising companies. But alas, I can't see the movie being more than a typical
'Little Timmy has lost somethingsomething, and soandso has to go and find it. Meanwhile, somebody is planning something despicable, and soandso is caught in the middle of it.'
Meh, it'll please the little kiddies at least

But then, it could become great. I mean, I suspected the the Harry Potter movies would be kiddie-fests with cute animals and songs and stuff like that. And look at them now. Not the best movies, but certainly not sing-a-longs. So there's still hope in the movie yet. But first Adam will have to take the WB writers hostage, threaten to force them to eat Asparagus and make them think straight before the movie is written.

Ahh, and I dunno if everyone has the same ratings as in Aus, but I'll just post it here anyway
G- General Audiences. Anyone can watch. Usually kiddy movies.
PG- 'Parental Guidance recommended for persons nunder the age of 15'.
M- Parents strongly advised to supervise persons under the age of 15.
MA- Must be over 15 to watch it unless you have someone over 15 with you.

In America, it's:

G - General Audiences. Anyone can watch, usually these movies fail miserably in the box office (except some Disney ones)
PG - Parental Guidance recommended. Usually directors slip in a "hell" or two to get a PG rating so it won't be thought of as a "babyish G".
PG-13 - Parental Guidance recommended for persons under the age of 13. These usually do the best because teenagers want to see them.
R - Restricted. Usually have nudity scene or many bad words. Most movies made are this rating. Recommended for 17 or above. Or it's you can't go into the theatre unless you have someone over 18 with you. I forget if it's this rating or the next one.
NC-17 - You aren't allowed in the theatre if you are under 17.

My feeling: TNT will make this a G or PG. PG because it will appeal to more people.

M stands for Mature and MA stands for Mature Audiences. I don't know what the difference is, but there you go :P

Well, In Canada we have,

G, PG, PG-13, 14-A, R or 18-A.

I also think that Neo mivie may be G or PG, It would be cool though if it was PG-13, but it would not be cool if it was R.

If you don't get that, well, when I say R, use your imagination, I mean we wouldn't want Neopets cutting each other heads off or anything like that. :P

I didn't realise ratings were so different in other countries x) In the UK it's:

U - Universal, for everyone.
PG - parental guidance recommended for those under 12 (I'm assuming 12 dues to the next one...)
12A - For everyone over 12, under 12's can watch if with an adult.
12 - Must be over 12
15 - Over 15s
18 - Over 18s.

The latter makes no sense especially in Scotland where you are an adult at the age of 16 (but then again that means not being able to drink til your 18, or drive til your 17 makes little sense either). That might be the same for England & Wales - I'm not sure. (Also I think there is a Uc which is like universal but aimed at kids exclusively, eg the Wiggles or something like that).

I'd be surprised if neopets was anything other than a U here, I'd be delighted if it was a 12A though xD
