If you sold all your gallery items, what would do with the money?
I find that if I sell anything, or make any amount of money, I always end up spending it on more plushies.
I now have almost 300plushies

Check if your nps or the items has more worth. Is your nps getting more interest in the bank, or your item inflated more than the interest in the bank?

I collect paint brush and I think my paint brush inflat more than my bank interest.

Erk. Sorry. I really should have put that in the original post, but I HATE 2nd accounts. I personally think they should be eliminated altogether.

As do I, but I have a second account JUST for my gallery. I don' t even know if my pet in there is starving or what (I presume he is, but I put him up in the neolodge every now and again...)

If you're worried about funds, just find some new games to play, ones with bigger payouts, and try to sell a few things that aren't gallery-related. If you have to take a few items out of your gallery to make space for sellable items, so what? You can always put them back in. Heck, empty the whole shop! You'll still have the items, and your funds will be back in action.
