Not again!

While I haven't gone there recently, I noticed the latest thing with the forums...
It's a shame no one but the owner can do something about it, considering it seems like he can't spend too much time on the site.

Hehe, panic over x) A whois query shows that the same guy (Sam) has re-registered the domain and the renewal request is just still being processed

I still think they were hacked, last time they were hacked, I saw something similar to this.

Just a fair warning.

Just like to say- I don't think it's entirely fair to say a site has cookie grabbers unless you have some sort of evidence it does. Please say you learnt *something* from the PPT/Soupfaerie nonsense last year.

I don't believe that particular member was around during that time last year. But you make a correct point.
Spreading lies about sites isn't fair to the site in question. People do it to our site, and theres no way in heck that it should be happening here with reguards to other sites.

Anyone who wants to argue this point is free to PM me and we can have a nice chat.

You'd think they would have changed hosts the last time, or atleast trie dto fix the bug O_o It happened like...5 months ago.

The site is in a different situation then PPT and other neo help sites. Since I don't own the site, or frequent it enough, I don't feel comfortable going into details about something I may only have a few of the right points on.
But I know that the situation is vastly different then anything here on PPT.

And don't criticize them. It doesn't exactly keep up good site relations, nor is it fair to the members that frequent both sites. Nor to the members that come here specifically from Neocolours.

Last time I read, the site is hosted for free on the owner's work server or something. And I assume that he isn't aware of the forum upgrade, or else he would of more than likely upgraded last time

Rare. This is very rare, but i've unlocked the thread.
Why?
Because it actually does appear that Neocolours has been hacked, and I strongly suggest not visiting the site at least for the time being, until we know there aren't... hidden nasties on the site.
I'm sure things will be cleared up quickly though.

I Googled it, clicked on it (non-cached), and it was fine. Humm, odd.

*Edit* But the forums are still screwed up. The hacker's message, which I will not quote because of multiple curses, is there still.

It's just the forums that have been hacked because it's old phpbb and possible to exploit. The actual site itself is untouched =) Which is something I guess =(
