I hope this weeks is uber hard too. I keep hoping they put one up encrypted in playfair cipher, but with no keyword, so you have to go looking for the keyword. That would rock. I'm like a puzzle masochist.

Hey now! I suck at these things but I keep trying anyway and if they make one like the chocolate one again i'll just cry!

Curious.. can you describe the playfair cipher (or point to some sites that do)? I like having fun with cryptograms at times...

Yeah, that's it although I've also seen z's used for the parity bit instead of x's.

uuhh... yeah. That certainly would be a tough cipher to crack, especially without the passcode. O_o Still, it'd be interesting.
Still, a more interesting puzzle is one that somehow uses your own username as part of the formula... so though the answer is different (and less likely to be blabbed), they could code the grading engine to handle the answers accordingly.

New one up.

A Brown Scorchio, a Red Krawk, a Yellow Lenny, a Green Tuskaninny and a Blue Chomby were all playing Sutek's Tomb. The Lenny got 1561 points, and the Scorchio got 6364 points.

I WISH they would have come up with something more original, or the sum must be found and then reprocessed into the way the numbers where obtained to start with. That would have been tricky.

What was the sum of all of their scores?

That is the full question.

I doubt it, I bet it is a question that is tied in some obscure way to what pet they are and what color they are.

I'm just having trouble making the connection.

I'm finally back for the summer, although hopefully I'll spend a little more time away from this screen.

Well, at first I thought it might have something to do with the total number of each pet, but I'm not making a connection, as there is no common multiplier between the number of lennies and the number of scorchios.
