I have been on neo nearly four years, and to my knowledge it has never ever been free to expand your shop.

I think it used to be a set amount of NP instead of the way it scales up now. Forgive me if I'm wrong, I left for a long time ;)

Anyways, everyone knows the real NP is in restocking, not games ;)

I have a pretty big shop, but stopping by you'd probably wonder how. =) i used to restock books really heavy, but now I just put the random odds and ends I pick up from trading post in there and use it as a home for my Kaddies! =)

Actually, shop sizes used to be a LOT cheaper than what they are now. He's been playing for 11 months, so maybe he upgraded his shop around that time...

But judging by his pets and things...why upgrade a shop only, and not paint or train, buy good items, etc?

Well, when I say a lot cheaper, I mean A LOT cheaper. It used to be around 1500 NP to upgrade a shop... maybe he doesn't care about his pets? Who knows?

Because he apparently enjoys stocking such a large shop... *shrug*...

You could ask why i've spent at least 300k (possibly up to 500k) on BBQ porkwiches over the last year or so... (And tomorrow, i reach ONE THOUSAND lbs! ) :D

Shop 112 isn't that big @_@

They upped the price of upgrades a while back so in the past, having high shops weren't too expensive.

Hold onto your seats people... the SL is back.

I'm curious though - How do people here normally price their items? I just like getting rid of them so I put them at the lowest wizard price but I've seen plenty of shops with them at a higher price and the owners don't mind that they don't sell.

Does everyone just price them and wait for the price to rise?

Personally -- and different folks do it differently -- I price most things near the low wizard price, especially the price on "my" wiz page, the one that lists the shops in the same beginning-letter group as mine.

It doesn't always have to be the lowest price, though.

I also usually price a few items at higher-than-wiz-average prices just because they sell. Cool-looking/unusual items are good for that.

Some folks will price an item they want to keep at an inflated price, so that if it does in fact sell, they can easily replace it. I've rarely done that.

Dealing with price-points, finding the price that optimizes sales and profit, can be weird. I had a Snow Petpet Paint Brush that just sat in my shop for weeks at 8,000. So I raised it to 9,000, and sold it in about a day.

During the Battle for Meridell, on weapons I did exactly what you described, priced them a bit higher than the "going rate" and let the price come up to meet me. Worked pretty well, though I was surprised that the market for Lucky Robots Feet and Amulets of Life never materialized as I expected.

1 mil? :o
I think he earns money by playing stocks(everyone forgot that).
Or he could be funded by donations when his friends stops playing Neo for good. That's how my friend became 2 million richer.
