BOOHISS! Like it wasn't hard enough already. I have a DSL connection, but I feel really horrible for people still on 56k... imagine waiting forever to for the now-slower restocks only to find that BECAUSE they're happening less often, there are triple the amount of people waiting to buy.
People in other parts of the world RS during your "early AM hours" and are much more likely to have slow connections, since some countries may not be advanced enough to have full broadband coverage yet, unlike USA.
And in the first place, I doubt people on 56ks even attempt to restock. It is just too impractical.
First off, it may surprise some of my fellow Americans that not ALL of the USA has access to broadband coverage. I live in a tiny rural hamlet in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California. Although satellite is available, it doesn't work very well for any of my neighbors. All of us must rely on dial-up connections, and they are not 56k baud. We're lucky if the phone lines allow us a 28.8k connection -- most of the time it's 26.6k.
Second, you're right about restocking. I gave up on that about 3 years ago. I rely on games and the stock market for my NPs.
Sometimes I kick myself for moving away from San Diego. Trading the beach for the mountains, and high-speed access for this frustrating connection wasn't worth it.
