Okay, I've edited the top post. IT might be a bit messy, but it should include most of the important info people have mentioned here

How do you remove the little button that's on the yellow bar on the left, in IE?

Neonewsince found thsi ad block thing,

Open notepad Paste this:
div.ban,div#ban {display:none !important;}

Save it to your desktop(or anywhere eles) titled as Neopets.css(must have .css)

Then on internet explorer Tools > internet options > "general tab" bottom right, click "accesibility"

Check "format documents using my style sheet" --> browse, load the notepad file u saved.

I constantly get the CDI college ad:

I've tried blocking it as:

And it still shows up How do I get rid of it?

By the looks of it, you're trying to use the HOSTS file method. You need a line like this:
(No http:// or wildcards. Just the hostname.)

If you do just the first step of IE blocking does it not work? I cant see ads and I only did the first step or is the second important?

I need help anyone blocking ads with IE can you please PM me I'm having problems with the second part
