*snort*

If Neopets can afford to have a McDonalds promotion, plushies, handheld games, and their own card game, SURELY they can have an ad-free site.

*sigh* Ah well. My browser blocks all of 'em, so I'm happy.

*Go Maxthon!*

It's the principle of the thing. And lest you forget, not everyone has a fast computer or goes online using cable.

I put that I went back to Mexico. That took care of the ads for me. For now.

Morningstar, it is lovely to see you again.

Wow, as if the top banner ads weren't enough. I could tolerate them, but...this is the most enraged I've ever been towards the site in all 42 months I've been there. I may as well be one of the ones who'd leave soon.

*sigh* Oh well, I'll wait for their announcement on this first.

Though this is extremely bad and all, look at it this way:

They're not in the middle of the page, in clear and unavoidable view, and messing up the layout whether or not you block them. They're at the bottom, where they can remain unseen for the most part. I feel deeply sorry for those with dial-up right now though.

Meh, the New Zealand trick doesn't work anymore :(. I would sign up for premium except everytime I go to the page it says "beta full". Arggg.

This has raised my ire.

And quite frankly, that is not a smart thing to do.
The first banner adds should have been enough.

They'll be hearing from me.

Change your country to New Zealand to remove the ads

I just changed mine to some tiny little country in Africa. And, it worked. Thanks.

Smart thinking. I was actually getting a white space, but I changed to Latvia (which is half true since my mom is from there) and the space is gone. Although it'd be smart to change to countries with low industrialization if any are listed since they will be amoung the last to have advertisements.

Yes, but like others said, it's the principle. Neo has become a greedy site that couldn't care less about their users. It's sad really, because I still like to play. I do believe it will be their downfall, because more and more people will quit. Even thought they don't delete frozen accounts, those can't click ads.

even on dial up the site seem to be at the same speed it always is, so i am unsure as to what the problem is now.

I'm premium but since today is my birthday I have the birthday bar so I see ZERO ads at all...

Can someone confirm premium is seeing these bottom ads too? :( I'm gonna be upset if tomorrow I return to my yellow bar and see that my $69.99 per year isn't making me ad-free. :x

EDIT: Nevermind, just checked my petpages and there they were, even birthday bar + premium isn't enough to kill them off. -_-
