Ammer
Elegance As Beauty

Wonderful! Very well done! The lily is indeed a majestic flower, and that makes for a good deal of it;s beauty. This really cpatures the mysterious feel of the signature as well as tying in with the text and picture. Well done, excellent job.

Robert2100
A Simple Beauty

Another great one. The lily in the picture is fairly simple but undoubtedly beautiful. This captures that perfectly while remaining short and sweet. Fantastic.

Kitten Medli
Majestic Elegance

Hmm...not great. You really shouldn't have changed this one. It's too busy...too many adjectives. Each of the words on their own is fantastic with the signature, but the two put together put so much description into it that it loses all significance.

Ratings

Ammer-9/10

Robert 2100-9/10

Kitten Medli-6/10

...I don't believe in perfection.

It is indeed an elegant and beautiful flower and your subtext fits well with the image and set over all. I'm not convinced that it makes sense though to be honest, something like 'Elegant Beauty' would have made more sense to me, but I think it would still work well in spite of that! 8/10

Robert2100
This feels right, it works well with the sig as it is a simple sig and the lily is beautiful yet simple, not over complicated. Not much more to say its a good subtext! 9/10

Kitten Medli
Your first word 'Majestic' just doesnt feel right for me, the lily is definately elegant but, to me, not really what I would describe as majestic. You could get away with it at a glance but when looking closer at the picture, it doesnt fit as well as the other entries. 7/10

I've been putting this off as i dont want to do it, but i suppose i have to do it sooner or later unfortunately! Anyway, on with the ratings.

Ammer
"Elegance As Beauty"

The word "As" just feels wrong to me, i'm not sure why tho, "elegance" and "beauty" are both brilliant words to describe this sig, but they way you've linked them seems to subtract from their meanings rather than tieing them together and making it more powerful. that being said however, i cant think of a better word to use! 7/10

Robert2100
"A Simple Beauty"

I really like this, as once again, as i've mentioned in previous rounds, it could refer to the image in the sig or the person who posted it, i like that idea. It does well with the lily as they are simple flowers without a lot of fuss. Well done.9/10

Kitten Medli
"Majestic Elegance"

i get where you're coming from, but i'm not totally sure why you've picked "Majestic". However, having looked up the definition of majestic (Having or showing lofty dignity or nobility; stately) i think it does fit. (sorry, i'm a bit confusing!!) 8/10

AutumnElf wrote:
Ammer This subtext definitely captures the flower well, it is elegant, as well as beautiful. Is there any more to say? However, I don't like who you said "Elegance As Beauty", I just feel it subtracts from the subtext rather than adding, in a not so great way. I think saying something like "Elegant Beauty" is a good enough subtext. 8/10

Robert2100 I really like this one! Great job! The flower is beautiful, yet, you can see in the image, it gives off a "simple feeling", if you know what I mean. I can't say much more, read other's judgings for more advice. Good work, I would say it's one of your bests. 9/10

Kitten Medli I see how you can get the "elegance" part, I'm not sure where "majestic" came from. I could see how you might think to use it, and you can definitely get away with it, but in this image, I just don't feel "majestic" fits in well as apposed to "simple". I think you could have done better. 7/10

AE: the_dog_god wanted to post his comments himself, but I will post his ratings because I'm so nice :P

Ammer 8 / 10
Robert 9 / 10
Kitten Medli 8 / 10

So! If you haven't already added up the scores...

Ammer - 40
Robert2100 - 45
Kitten Medli - 36

...You'll see that the first ever winner of this contest, and the first ever PPT Subtext King is...

ROBERT2100!!

But, I really feel the other two of you did great so instead of Robert receiving 20k (Sorry :P), he will get 10k. Ammer and Kitten Medli will get 5k each! Rachel, .:Requiem:., post links and you two will receive 1k each for donating sets. Great job everyone, congratulations to Ammer and Kitten Medli for even making it so far, and congratulations to Robert for winning!

(There will be a PPTSKQ2...whenever I feel like opening sign-ups :P)

:o Wow, that is pretty much all I can say right now. I was suprised I made it to the final round, and I honestly thought Ammer would have one. I definatly want to say congrats to both Ammer and Meldi, I belive 100% you deserved to be in the final round :) . Autum, this was deinatly a ver fun game and I think you should definatly do a Subtext King/Queen2! The judges, thanks for spending all the time to rate each subtext and aving to go through the elimination choices each round. Well that is all really, thanks again for such a wonderful game, and good luck to all the participants of PPTSKQ2.

I had a feeling changing it was a bad choice..

Anyways, congratulations to Robert for winning and Ammer for making it to second place!

Keep the prize money and split it between Ammer and Robert. :) Thanks anyways!

Yes my judging was a bit of a cop-out in terms of ratings wise. I did have reasons behind each and every one (about three - four paragraphs in each too) but the PM wouldn't send and I lost it all :(

Basically I chose Robert2100 because the signature was a very simple one. Not too much in it, a simple border. Yet at the same time it's a beautiful flower so a Simple Beauty fits almost perfectly

The others were great as well...if I could have given things like .5 I would have probably given Ammer that extra .5. The main problem I found was you both tried to describe something that wasn't there. It was a nice simplistic signature and the way you described it made it seem like it was an incredible signature that was perfect in everyway

The other judges brought up some very good points too

Kudos to all three of you and some extra congratulations to Robert2100

Well done robert! Somehow, I knew you'd win from the start. Medli and Ammer for doing so well. I'm definately entering the next one!
