Happy to update all of you. That scamming shopkeeper's account was frozen today.

Yes I got tricked like that once too... they sold a Baby PB for 1000NP! OF course it was a scam... And of of course I was stupid... enough to buy it!

I think the changed how you did shops so the item would come up on top to get rid of that problem and so you wouldnt have to search through the shops for the item. Two birds with one stone.

But still, I dont think anyone with Premium would fall for that.

Trust me, while there are a good lot of idiots that scam, like the type you and I see on the NeoBoards, there are plenty more that are hardly lacking in the intelligence department. We enjoy making NP, and think of new ways to get it; scammers get their kicks the same way in that they enjoy making people lose their NP and finding new ways to do it. Why a virtual pet site? Why not? Ruining the self-esteem and shattering the small dreams of small children is great fun for them, AND they get back at the site that iced them for spamming "OMGZOMGZOMGZHOTTUB?LOL" on the NeoBoards.

This person had somehow covered up the item with the fake log in box so you couldn't buy it at all. And, I don't think the person was trying to get premium players to fall for it but rather trying to trick non-premium players (in other words, new players) into thinking that this was the way shop sales were supposed to be done.

I can only hope the guy lost everything and was IP banned to boot!

The effort some people go to, just to scam fake money! I think they must believe it proves their cleverness or something.

I am just sad that it took them over a day to do so. I feel sorry for anyone who fell for it. There should be a special category when you are reporting people asking for passwords and certain other bad "crimes" like people showing graphic pornography (which I got the "pleasure" to view for over an hour on someone's guild main page last summer before it was deleted--and I mean it was extremely, extremely graphic). Those types of things should be given top priority. Kind of like when a heart attack or gun shot victim goes into the emergency room and you are sitting there with a sprained wrist. They go first and should go first.

I'm furious that it wasn't frozen imediately. Since my friend recently got frozen for offering a pet for adoption, which was interprited as "Scamming for items and neopoints". When nothing of the sort was even mentioned.
