To get the winter sidebar on February 2, 2005, it is a Winter Random Event... as the chatrooms say so... so play winter games or scratch off scratchcards....
Edit By Mike: To get the winter sidebar, its like the halloween sidebar (you remember that one right?)... you refresh somewhere in the winter area in the last minute of Winter Day between 11:59 PM NST and 12:00 AM NST the next day.
Winter random event that doesn't tell you that ya got it? maybe...
The midnight thing, NOT LIKELY! Mostly because people have already gotten it, even if they don't know HOW.

thats what's so weird, the fact that people have it but don't know HOW they got it.

yeah but I mean that people have unlocked it and cn use it whenever they want, but don't necessarily know HOW they unlocked it.

Giving people a one minute time frame (11:59-12:00NST) ...especially when that it like 3AM here...just doesn't seem remotly fare. That is punishes people for sleeping at 3AM? While other people can get it easier depending on their time zone...yeah..a timezone dependent one time thing..that breaks the line of fareness into just plain wrong...lets just hope that isn't true

That's what they did for the Halloween one. People complained, but they didn't care. One minute, no warning, late at night for most the world.

I think you'll be able to get it ANYTIME. Some are thinking you can only get this sidebar today. If you can get it by random event only today, then obviously not that many people would get it and it would be a waste of time and definately unfair of TNT. It didn't say you only have today to get it so I'm sure you'll have many more days to come, just to get this sidebar.

Positive thinking. That always works with TNT.
I think it probably is a mega rare event that only 0.0001% of the people will ever get. They want people who get it to just feel super special.
I've been playing for 2 1/2 years ... and I have not *once* gotten a paint brush as a random event. Makes me think I will have a hard time getting a RE for a sidebar.

well, i guess i can add my two cents in ... i've been all over terror mountain area for an hour ... even the coloring pages and lots of refreshes ... so far i've managed 6 exploding snowballs and other various random events and still no sidebar ... ::sigh:: of course it has to be hard to get since i actually like it =P [/i]
