This is definitely not real neopets TNT email.

The links (even the neopets.com link) lead to an off-neopets site. I didn't click on the link or go there, out of fear of cookie-grabbers, but I'll be happy to give the URL of the links to a mod or staff member, by PM. I'm not going to post it here.

Just a heads-up. I don't know where they got my email addy from, but it's not hard to find, most people have their email on their forum profiles. Just watch out for it, it's a nice 'official looking' email.

Just another scam devised by despicable scammers.

Although this one isnt as elaborate as the other one though. (The MOD one)

Anywho, thanks for the heads-up!

Scammers truely are getting smarter aren't they? But if they think they can pull a fast one over PPT members, they're severely mistaken.

The bad thing is, it looks to me as if they're targetting players who've drifted away for whatever reason. They have NP and items sitting in rusty accounts and get an email that looks semi-official. I probably wouldn't have suspected anything if I hadn't logged in in a few months, but didn't really want to quit. If I was a lukewarm player or not real suspicious, I might have fallen for it. Figured it was some kind of new policy.

Clever.

I didn't click the link, I'm assuming it goes to a fake login page that probably turns around and takes you back to the pet central page on the real site, after you enter your username/password. Poo heads.

obviously. why do people insist on being so mean. I mean, honestly, find something better to do then to try to rip off random people that you don't even know.

On the other hand, it's not as if TNT communications are always typo-free.

(Which of course doesn't change the fact that this & other recent e-mails noted in the this forum are scams.)
