Is there another word for synonym?

Isn't it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do practice?"

If the "black box" flight recorder is never damaged during a plane
crash, why isn't the whole airplane made out of that stuff?

Why do they lock gas station bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will
clean them?

If the police arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to remain
silent?

Why do they put Braille on the drive-through bank machines?

How do they get the deer to cross at that yellow road sign?

If one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the rest drown too?

Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

Doubt it.
Isn't it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do practice?"
Not really, as lawyers say that too. Oh wait....
If the "black box" flight recorder is never damaged during a plane
crash, why isn't the whole airplane made out of that stuff?
It would be too heavy to fly.
Why do they lock gas station bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will
clean them?
No one knows what REALLY happens there....
If the police arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to remain
silent?
Yes, because they might not know if he is mute or not. He could later tell the guys in court that he wasn't allowed all his rights.
Why do they put Braille on the drive-through bank machines?
So that blind people being driven could withdraw money in private, from a back seat.
How do they get the deer to cross at that yellow road sign?
They don't. Its because deer cross there that they put the sign there.
If one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the rest drown too?
They aren't STUPID.
Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?
You want moldy cream?
If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
That could be interpreted as: If you try to fail, and succeed in failing, that means you succeeded in your task.

Isn't it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do practice?"
a docter is never an expert, somthing to do with hippocrates' teachings
If the "black box" flight recorder is never damaged during a plane
crash, why isn't the whole airplane made out of that stuff?
because its made of an incredibly expensive alloy and is rather heavy to boot.
Why do they lock gas station bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will
clean them?
not clean no..
If the police arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to remain
silent?
legally they have too yes.
Why do they put Braille on the drive-through bank machines?
the same reason they have "if you need this letter in braille please ohone.." on my bank statements.. they are idiots
How do they get the deer to cross at that yellow road sign?
they place the signs where the deer cross.
If one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the rest drown too?
... no?
Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?
ever tasted expired sour cream? it would probably kill you.
If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

Yet another set of answers...

Is there another word for synonym?
No, but exchangability is pretty close, if you can find a way of implying it was about a word before you use the synonym.

Isn't it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do practice?
No

If the "black box" flight recorder is never damaged during a plane
crash, why isn't the whole airplane made out of that stuff?
How would the piolet see?

Why do they lock gas station bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will
clean them?
So that no one steals a toilet

If the police arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to remain
silent?
Obviously, since its part of their rights, and if your not told all of your rights, and you do go to court, your off the hook if you can proove it

Why do they put Braille on the drive-through bank machines?
Duuh, so that they have a reason for going the wrong way and revenge smashing the car whos trying to get money.

How do they get the deer to cross at that yellow road sign?
Same way they get the kids to cross at the crossing gaurd.

If one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the rest drown too?
All at the same time too, last glug to the milisecond. Unless, of course, they suck.

Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?
So it doesn't because mold cream

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
Since your not trying to fail at failing, you've succeeded your orignal goal and your second

If you're scared half to death a second time, then you're scared half of the half you have left from the first time. :P 1/2 + 1/4 = 3/4. ;)

And I think I've seen those questions before, a long time ago...but it still made me chuckle. :)

It cause they are all made at the same time. The ones in the bank, in the groecy store and the one they place outside for driveup are all made at the same time.

Also why do we drive on a parkway but park in a driveway?

Do illiterate people get the full benefits of Alphabet Soup?

If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?

Here's some other ones I read:

Why is monosyllabic such a long word?

Because if you parked on a parkway, you'd be in trouble.

Why can't you watch a movie where 'Also Starring' DOESN'T play in? I mean, come on! He has to be rich by now!
