I know that I am lazy, but when it comes to my job I am not. TNT should not be lazy either when it comes to their job. Many of us spent our time and np on having stronger pets. It is not fair for people with points in the thousands to get the same prize as someone who only has 200 points,

I was REALLY disappointed with what they had to say in the editorial. I think it's extremely fair that peope with higher levels kill many more weaker opponents. We train our pets with hard earned neopoints and should have something to show for it. Otherwise, what is the use in training if they want to just level everything out?

The way this war was organised didn't totally please us either. We are working on a new way to make it fairer for everyone so people with higher level pets can't get massive amounts of points but repeatedly beating the little guys. The next plot will most probably not have a war, but the one after will and this new system of working out points for the battle will be in place then. That way we can be more precise with giving out prizes and such.

That infuriates me even more. "The way this war was organised didn't totally please us either." WELL DUH YOU FREAKING IDIOTS, then why didn't you at least try to fix it by giving us decent war prizes??

"We are working on a new way to make it fairer for everyone so people with higher level pets can't get massive amounts of points (by) repeatedly beating the little guys."

Stupid. Just flat out stupid. So basically, people with weaker pets are allowed to battle weak pets and push their score to 2000 by ones, whereas intermediate pets have to push their score by 100s, and only make it to 2000 because that's as far as they can go, and strong pets are the only ones who can make it very far. Um, DUH? The intermediate battlers and beginner battlers will wind up with the same points, and you'll have a repeat of this war's ultimate stupidity. Once again, only the strong experienced battlers win out.

I can't believe how ignorant TNT is.

I'm really think what they are saying is that they will end up basing the points on how strong your pet is. Like, my Sanasun isn't very strong at all. But, because he's been lab rayed so much it'd cost me near a million to level his levels up properly. So how is it fair that Featherally and Hrobi get the best prizes? It's not, and I think TNT has finally realized it. What I'm imagining (and hoping) it will be like, "Ok, your max stat is 100 strength, so you get 5 points for this weak creature. Your max stat is 500 strength? You get .5 points for each weak creature." Do you kinda see what I'm saying? I have to apologize if I'm not coherant in this, as I'm not feeling very coherant right now...*rubs her head*

*blinks* .. Couldn't they just make it so you can only defeat so many of one opponent? Like if it REALLY does bother TNT so much maybe they could make the limit 100 on the weakest, 50 of medium, etc.?

But yeah, maybe they should just hire more (is there any in the first place?) people purely meant to deveop and manage the war/battledome. Surely they have enough money now to hire more staff for things like this... That and maybe some plot management, the scripts lack originality it seems.. But then again maybe some did enjoy the script? (did anyone find a single motif?)

That would be really bad. As I said earlier:

I think a cap would be horrible. I mean, it's tough enough as it is. Now people with medium pets would have a cap on the lower opponents they could actually get points from and then get kicked out of the battle? Sometimes it's a big jump from one opponent level to the next. It is just not possible for some people to fight the higher level because of their stats, equipment, or whatnot, while they could still get points out of the lower levels. That would cut a lot of people out of the battle very early.

I like meowth's idea, but that could have the same problem for medium pets. It'd be kind of equalizing the points between lower and middle pets, which wouldn't be fair to the medium owners.

I really do not know whats wrong with the way it is. I really hatted when it was a limit on the enemy cause that was bad because sometimes they all be gone by the time you login. Also A cap or what ever kinda bad, cause sometimes weaker pets have strong weapona and stronger pets has weak weapon. How can they account for things like that.

Simple, galonski, people need to wise up and learn that:
A Strong Pet with semi-decent weapons > A Weak Pet with Uber-Strong Weapons. :P

Yes, caps would be bad.
I bet you that most people with pets strong enough to continuously fight the higher level opponents wouldn't go and fight 1000+ weak opponents, unless time permitted and they got bored. The war would be over by the time they could max out on everyone.
Think about it, if you could get 13,000 points, and had fought all day, would you really spend all that time to get another 1000 points? I wouldn't.
*Sigh* I wish they could just give out the prizes like they used to.
It's gotten so much worse.

I got beaten by a person pet that had stats 15 points in strenth hp and def then mine, and also he was only a 9 month account, lol, cause he had stong weapon to cause more damage and healing. It really sucked, and I felt embaress.

It's probably best not to go into a war expecting any prize at all. At least TNT knows they botched the war, the prizes are just a little extra.

It sounds insane to try to make a war "fairer" for all pets. Not only did the ones on top earn their place there, there's just too many factors involved in making it fair... strength, HP, weapons, time needed... it can't be fair to everybody. On the other hand, I'm assuming the people more likely to buy their products are going to be the ones with weaker pets... and to be honest, neopets has made it a lot harder to train a decent pet and earn np.

Might as well just try to enjoy the plot, the BD part, and try not to keep your expectations too high. ;)

Please why wont tnt hire me and i will run all the wars from now on! Yah go me! But i will be quickly influenced to tnt's style and give everyone a bottle of sand as a prize except if u get 0 points u get 100000nps =)

Sun Jan 30, 2005 8:16 am

Well, at least the scratchcard prizes are good XD

Sun Jan 30, 2005 11:38 am

For all those people who say "At least we didnt get a shirt" ..the Darigan Rules t-shirt is now worth over 4k.

I got 666 points and the clockwork toy..i would have preferred if it was a bomb or if it could be put into the neohome.

Wow, you know waht's scary? Thats almost completely true. I know there are a fair amount of decent players who buy Neo merchandise (most of them just for the code redemption :P). But the majority of buyers are newbies who play Neo for 2 months, then give up coz it's too kiddie

I still don't see the motive TNT could have to want to make the war more fair. Whatever they do, only the middle ground will be affected worst off. Newbies will have it all great, Experts will fly past with the super enemies, and us middle people will be stuck with the t-shirts.

Or maybe by fair maybe they mean strictly for the paying members?
