I was wondering. Well I wonder a lot of stuff instead of me asking questions, can someone post info about the wishing well. How often does someone win. the more chances depending on how much yuo put in? etc.

No, it just takes all my money without a thank you (maybe it does thank).

But considering all the people who use it a day and how many requests they put in, and they only pick 5, the chances are pretty well impossible to having yours picked.

Exactly...if you put too little money in it's very unlikely that you'll get the item, whereas you take the risk and put in the correct/very slightly below the correct amount of money, you've got a very slim chance of winning the item as well. I don't think it's worth it personally, I'd rather buy something by using the Shop Wiz or in Neopia Central by haggling.

I don't know anyone who had ever won anything from there. Occasionally I put in 1000np and ask for a plushie PB but it never happens lol!

This one guy on the neoboards had a theory that it would only give to people who donated the most money, which was clearly untrue since I noticed that most the people who had their wishes granted were newbies, anyway to prove his theory he donated 100,000 to the wishing well and asked for a faerie pb, which at the time costed that amount of neopoints. It didn't grant his wish of course and he was so mad, but I laughed at him because we all told him that he was wrong and he could have just bought the paint brush. :>

I've never gotten anything from the Wishing Well, personally.
I haven't donated since I was a newbie, though
One of my NeoFriends said that you have to donate a lot to actually get something, but I've never risked doing that. It's probably random, really.

It's definately geared toward newbies, as well as people with certain requests. Look at the list now and it's virtually all codestones, plushie island paint brushes, and medicinal soap. :P

TNT chooses a random person, I believe. I don't know if it depends on how much you pay or not.

But that might be due to newbies not knowing the chances of getting their wish granted is very low. People like us who have been playing for a long time don't bother wishing for stuff anymore, so it's probably like 100000 newbies versus 1 non-newbie everyday wishing for stuff. So it's almost always a newbie winning.

Well, there are easier ways to burn NP.

Five people out of the thousands that probably try...bah.

I haven't been to the Well in a while, but wasn't there some sort of way to edit the URL of the site so you could donate as much NP as you wanted (like, 99999999999NP) without actually paying anything? I thought that was funny.
