If you want an explanation well, I posted it here because it happened on television and previous threads like this "Ashlee/Lindsay caught lypsyncing" weren't locked so why not?

No, I'm not criticizing its placement here. I'm commending it.

I don't think this has ANY place in the music board. The "artists" are into spectacle far more than music. Watch the performance. She put on a great show and for a long time, that would have been enough. Unfortunately, people have started to stand back, shut their eyes and listen.

I agree. And i do not think it is mean to say she lacks talent and whatever my opinion is. Although some people don't like to hear it cuz they're a fan or don't understand the opinion concept, but life wouldnt really be as interesting if everyone agreed and noone shared their opinion.

I felt really bad for her and I was watching it too when it happened. I have to admit, she doesn't exactly suit my taste but that was just mean and rude. :P

I guess I'm mean b/c I laughed when I heard about that happening.
Who cares though, so she was booed. If celebrities can't take the bad with the good then they need to step back and give the next wannabe a shot at the big time.

ha

If you heard her singing, it wasn't mean or rude. It was a bad performance.

And i consider saying it was a bad performance, being kind, and generous as opposed to mean or rude.

By the way, if anyone wants to see a clip of the incident, here ya go:

No hoedown unfortunately, but if you listen carefully right after the "screeeaam," some guy in the audience shouts "YOU SUCK!"

That was hilarious. I do feel a bit sorry for her, but seriously, that singing... made me hold my hands over my ears. Ouch.

She got paid how much for that?

Fri Jan 07, 2005 5:02 am

I think it is funny.
It is her fault for people finding out she truely does not do live performances. Should not say it is live, when it is not. I hate when singers and bands do that.

Man, how embarrassing. Ugh. This is like, ten times worse than SNL. She should seriously think about putting her career on hold, nobody likes her anymore. She's just making it worse with every performance.

By the way, "La La" is the worst song in the history of music. *pukes*

I'm suprised that she's still performing... period.

And was her 'singing' that bad before the SNL exposure too? I't sounds like ever since then, she really hasn't been using a backup cd...

And it took me a while to release that she's singing Lala in the clip  Just shows that the song was really computerized...

I totally agree. It's also loaded with sexual innuendo, which I think is risky considering her preteen audience.

Hey, just because she wants to la la on the kitchen floor doesnt mean it has to have any sexual connotations, we all do it nearly every day and it has nothing sexual about it!

The Orange Bowl was at Pro Player. I live right there and watch the Marlins play all the time :P

But I saw the performance and honestly wished she would have lipsynched. I mean, the booing was rude but honestly in this case I think she deserved it. Her voice was horrible.

She should go back to acting :P

Wait a minute at the end they say Kelly Clarkson and some other artist, was the audience booing ashley or the entire show? Maybe tehy were being polite and waiting till the end of the show to boo.
