The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

Oh so thats why she looked all sad when I was looking at her pictures on gettyimages...
I guess you can call one person immature. Or maybe 10 or 20... But when she's getting booed by every crowd she performs for, it's got to mean something.

If I was Ashlee, I would just start touring with my concert. Ignore any gigs I get besides my tour. After the tour, perhaps take a long break. Around a year or two. Than come out with a new album and I have a feeling people won't be as angry as they are now.

I'd still be angry because she's marketed rubbish. Her "rocker" image is so fake and it drives me mad.

Point taken. But I don't think she'd be booed off the stage again. However, I could be wrong.

Indeed.
It's like Avril Lavinge. But Worse.
I really can't respect someone so fake.
I actually laughed at her video when I saw it as I was channel surfing.

Anyone remember Sinead O'Connor? She ripped up a picture of the Pope on Saturday Night Live, and then got booed off stage at a Bob Dylan tribute concert two weeks later.
Sinead O'Connor was booed for an opnion she had and how she demonstrated it.
Ashley Simpson was booed for a crappy performance.
Not to mention Sinead had talent.
This is how people express themsleves. If they enjoy a performance, they cheer. If they don't, they boo. And let's face it, whether you look at the whole lip-synching saga or not, that was one horrible performance.
Now I don't want to say that Ashley was asking to be booed but her marketing genius of a father needs to learn a few things. Ashley is popular with a very small demographic. Pre-teen girls at a mall want to hear Ashley. Testosterone-ridden males in the middle of a football game don't. In fact, I can think of very few public appearances short of her own concerts that would be wise to make.
Sinead? Was she the one that played the guitar and went on Fame Academy?
Anyway, to be honest, even though it's great that she's trying to fix things, I think many people have lost repect for her. She should definatly take a break for a while, let it settle a bit.

I see it more as people not being upset with just Ashlee, but with the ENTIRE pop music scene.
People are sick and tired of the same pre-fabricated crap over and over.

No, Sinead O'Connor was the one who did "Nothing Compares", possibly the best weepy song of all time. I get all emotional when I hear it. Now that was talent.
EDIT: I've just seen a video clip off her getting booed of and in all honesty, it's the biggest pile of crap I've ever heard. No wonder they booed, I would have too if I'd been there. She was awful. Time for some common sense methinks: If you can't sing, DON'T GET A JOB IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY!!! Simple as.

People didn't boo her for her lipsyncing fiasco before but because her voice was legitimately terrible. Ashlee is being paid thousands to perform at that show. The audience has a right to gauge whether she is so deserving of that wealth.
And she was screeching like a dying bird.

and before someone decides to point out that Ashleh is out of the norm. She isn't it's been going on for years and doesn't seem to be improving. I don't care about Ashlee or anything like that, but I think tvnearu brought up the point that a lot of people are agreeing with now--We don't care that one person did it. It's apparent that everyone before her did it too.
The idea of creating a star is not something new. it's been going on for years. some credit this fellow, Lou Peralman, with being the godfather of it. It's probably been going on for years and years before hand though.
I don't think it's going to stop either. Pop is whatever is in, right now, the whole Rock-it-up theme seems to be going on all around. To say that these "EMO" bands are all raw and real musicians, would, well, be a lie. They can be just as fabricated as a poppy overzealous girl who dyes her hair black to "be different but not be different"
meh, I'll stick to my unsigned music.

Just because it's been going on for years it doesn't mean it's right.
What would be prefer Ashlee doing? Screeching like a dying bird (well done Chromey!

) or lipsynching?

Neither.
She could just give up this joke of a career and go home, never to be shown on T.V. again.
Nah....i'm not that lucky.

You can't really state the reason why a group of people acts the way they do without being one in the group or without asking them (which would probably result in a false answer)... It's also crazy to assume that her "lipsyncing fiasco" has nothing to do with it, it's almost impossible for that to be true considering the circumstances. Thought I would add that.
There's a fine line between being moral and being immature. There's also a difference between stating an opinion and being civilized about it. I hope this doesn't have to be explained. >_> I mean, we already know she's lacks talent, there's no reason to go for overkill. Then again, it's probably difficult for a bunch of revved up football fans, possibly some of them drunk, to be civil (especially when you want to get the rest of the game going, and when you don't care for the singer). People these days... Geez people, let her die out. -_- *shakes head*

I just want to say that there's a reason that the debate here has become whether or not people over-reacted, not whether or not she has talent. When that becomes the question, we've got a problem and I think we should be screaming and booing and crying and gnashing our teeth and ripping our clothes more often to let people know we aren't happy about this.
Also, there's a reason that this is in the Movies and TV board and not the Music board.

If you want an explanation well, I posted it here because it happened on television and previous threads like this "Ashlee/Lindsay caught lypsyncing" weren't locked so why not?
