It is highly possible that there might be more people who got it but who didn't post it on the chats. Not everyone goes to the chats.

And some people have may it and not even know they have it--like my husband, for instance. Until yesterday, he had absolutely no idea what an avatar even was--and, he's been playing for over two years now. He had paid absolutely no attention to them because he never goes on the chat boards.

According to NeoItems and Neoholics, it is randomly given out when Treasure of Black Pawkeet is played.

I too think the BT is just a red herring. If so, that's a pretty cruel joke by a few players, but I've learned to be extremely untrusting of other players anyhow.

Not that it matters though, if it isn't the BT, someone somewhere is bound to find it and talk.



And they heard the same way we did, from what the people on the neoboards who did get it are saying. I personally won't put much faith in that until I see a few more folks with it though.

I honestly don't know what it is, but I considered that maybe it's having the Curse of the Black Pawkeet in your inventory and doing something on Kwark Island, unfortunately, I don't want to shell out the money til the book goes down (currently 90K and people on the neoboards are still saying it has to do w/the book).

Has anybody RS something at Smuggler's Cove recently? If they both got it at the same time chances are they may have rs:d something. Who knows, I'm sure itwill eventually be figured out.

I have won small amounts the past 3 times I have tried and no avatar so maybe it is small % random like getting blasted by snowager.

Its not from getting a Booby Prize on it... I pulled out a ticket, and got one (rancid meat). Unless its getting another item, but I doubt it...

Just another one I won't get as I have really bad luck with the random avies.

edited to add link to the board. edited again to add that she says she won a dubloon so I guess it doesn't matter what you win, just that you win and it's random.
