Um, yeah, this is pretty basic knowledge... The Esophagor is MUCH more profitable than the Brain Tree, and I regularly do Esophagor quests when I do all my other quests (Edna, Snow Faerie, Kitchen).

Advantages:
1: less time.
2: you don't have to worry that the "second quest" will be super expensive.
3: the Esophagor sometimes asks for really cheap items, and usually gives out a lot of books in the 1.5k realm, sometimes gives out things more valuable.
4. the Esophagor NEVER gives out np, and almost ALWAYS gives out rare items if you do the quest fast.

One of the best things about him is there's no limit to how many quests you can do for him. :D

I think there is a limit. If have gotten "quest banned" on two occasions. After I had fulfilled 15 quests (meaning the total number of quests I did for all of the questors), I was given a statment saying that I couldn't do anymore until the following day.

Yes there's a limit of 10 quests per day, but Esophagor doesn't count. You can continue to do his quests, even after you have reached the 10 quest per day limit.

Just tried a quest...

The esophagor gives you a All About Air Faeries!!!

I see what you mean. It was only 150NP.

I like esophagor now.

I haven't done an esophagor quest in... probably three years! Let's try.

...Okay, he asked for a cheese ghostkersandwich (which I had already) and pumpkin cookies, which I bought for 1 NP. I only got a 300NP item, but still. Not too shabby.

(Of course, my ghostkersandwich was worth a couple thousand NP, but... uh, I ignore that because it was sitting in my SDB, so I consider it "free." Yes, I'm odd.)

ETA: Hahaha, on my second quest he asked for Brain Ice Cream, which is unbuyable.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

BTY, like the rolex part. But, didn't the snow faerie already take yours? :P

Not to burst your bubble, but I don't see what's the big deal about this. I've been doing Esophagor's Quests alone (not for the Brain Tree) for many years and indeed it is fairly profitable. Am I to take it that most people do it just for the Brain Tree quests alone? o_O I've always thought the Brain Tree was a waste of time and np.

As for those making a big fuss over this being revealed, relax, it is common knowledge as far as I'm concerned.

I tried it, and the first time he gave me a list of two expensive items and an 8500 np item. I paid it, and he gave me the answer to an EXPIRED Brain Tree quest thingie. (DOH! on my part)

The second time he asked for a 75np item that was worth 7500 np.

The third time he asked for a 45000 np item. -_- I have enough, but I didn't think it was worth it, so I'm gonna let the time limit run out.

OK, the esophagor, snow faerie and K quest guy are all in cahoots!

Just went to the esophagor, it asked for:

tongue with veggies
ghost pancakes
candy skull

Yeah, sure, a ub for a quest?! I don't even have a candy skull in my spooky gallery!

Now I remember why I don't do these quests anymore

Green Sticky Hand? :o

I don't think the Esophagor gives out R96's?

hey thanks for the tip! I just spent 1500 on a mystery meat sandwich and he gave me a milk chocolate jubjub cake worth 19k. awesome!

Wow, you were just extremely lucky then. He usually only gives out like normal rarity stuff, if I'm not mistaken, unlike the Snowfaerie.

When I still cared enough about Neopets to do quests, I used to only do that <100np Esophagor quests, because more often than not, I'd get a worthless Toy or Trading Card. But occasionally, he'd give you a book, and you'd be in for a slight profit.
