Cheat Monster, being a little overzealous? O_O

Over on the premium board, someone got a score of 370-something on Meerca Chase II. And then BAM, the cheat monster showed up. When he tried to play again, the monster showed up a second time.

Anyhow, does anyone know if any punishment comes from getting the Cheat Monster? I saw it released in the news back with the war, but this is the first time I've ever see anyone actually get it. I'm a little shocked that CM would show with a score of under 400 on Meerca Chase II though, 2800++ sure...but under 400? That's a very believeable score.

I've never gotten the Cheat Monster, and I don't know anyone who has. But I always thought that it was some kind of random event. Maybe?

Don't think so. I play on petpages when the main server is down. All seems fair there.

I vaguely recall something being mentioned about using the backup servers to restock and such when the site is slow...perhaps it was an editorial. At any rate, the staff views it as cheating.

I very much doubt they have the flash games uploaded onto the Petpages server.
The text looks slightly blurred, even though the rest of the image is normal.
I doubt even TNT would use 'Cheat... and be devoured!!!!!' as their warning message to cheaters.

I just tried it on petpages.neopets.com and no cheat monster was found... But don't think the person was lying...

They are.
The image was saved as .jpg, what do you expect?
They used that on the news, why not on the real thing?

There is no physical petpages.neopets.com server. It just is a domain linked to the various http://www.neopets.com servers. It looks authentic enough

Hello this screenshot i took is not fake i noticed that it says petpages.neopets.com but that was what it came up as when i played the game.
The image is bit wierd because i saved it as a jpg becuase i diodnt want a bmp tpo be loading for ages.
It is seriousely true and i reported it to neopets aswell

Thanks again for allowing me to use your screenie. I've always wondered what happened when he showed up and your screenie was the first I'd ever seen of it happening since he was announced in the news.

To be completely discriminatory and prejudice, remember this is coming off of the premium boards which does give it a bit more potential to be true than just off the neoboards.

The blurriness is very characteristic of a jpeg. There's nothing I can see to totally discount it yet.
