That is a bit weird. Too bad Evanescence haven't released anything for a while. *poke poke*

Better keep poking them. They are releasing another single about one or two years.

Darn

I remember in the early 90s bands took forever to release CDs but continually released singles off prior albums. Some bands though, nowadays, continually pop album after album out(pun intended).

As that trend continued, the quality of the music just fell and fell, I suppose we can hope this bubble pops sometime soon aswell.(pun intended, yet again).

A long time ago, artists released albums and singles very quickly one right after the other. It was especially during the TRL era of the late 90s that artists really slowed down their single releases until their last video retired off of TRL (typically 65 days). This in turn slowed album production. I think the new trend in increased single volume is a throwback thing, and I think it's good for music.

At one time, the Beatles held the top 5 positions on the chart.

Ahh yes... Back when popular music was filled with people who had, you know... talent.

Hey, the man is now officially the second most talented Beatle.

He just needs to wait for Paul to kick off and he'll be #1. :P
