I love those dang comics. It's so much more unique to do it that way than in just a normal Flash movie. I wasn't a fan of the Flash movies back when they were the only medium for plots -- I'm very pleased with comics now. :)

Occasionally, though, you do get an artist whose style REALLY conflicts with the previous ones (see HatIC plot Chapter 5). Because the Flash movies are more long-term projects, they will HAVE to have the same artist work on the objects for it, and thus we wouldn't have the characters look completely different between episodes.

You can only do so much with comics (certain things in the Hannah plot seemed more blah than it likely was).... and with actual movies at least once in a while (perhaps for a the more dramatic moments) it would make things slightly more interesting to go through (in Battle of Meridell they did that well with Darigan attacking and such.)

There are things I like about both comic and flash style. I guess my ideal style would be a mix of each. The comic style is nifty, but there are times when a flash style might make things more exciting. :)

Definetley. The comics seem too short and annoying. But the flash looks corny and you can't go any faster through it or pause at a point. But fight scenes in both are never usually good. Flash looks cartoony and the comic cuts out a lot. Then again...must remember...kids site. :P

I reckon that comics are a lot more unique than flash cartoons, personally. But then, a flash cartoon can set the mood a lot better than a comic can. A comic can barely be dramatic, fast paced or exciting. A flash comic, sort of can.

If they can add sound to the comics, then I'd say they're excellent. No sound = suckage
Flash Comics are good because you can look at them at your own pace, like a real book, but again, that kills the drama or suspense you can get in a flash cartoon.

I'd say, mixing the two would be a good idea. Not all comics, because then it's just boring and not exciting, but not all flash cartoons, because then it seems to become too fast paced, and will seemed rushed.

EDIT: Also, did anyone else notice that pirate skull dude said "HELL"? Not that it offends me, but I find it funny that people are frozen for saying that word, when it is used in a Neopets Plot :P

:roflol: I loved that! When it first came out, I double taked and watched it again. Just the thought that Neopets actually cursed was funny. I wonder if they'll ever do that again.

I like comics more.. Mostly because the flash movies don't seem to work at all on my computer. They don't load.

Something tells me they could do the same with the F bomb (for those who know what I mean...), because neopets hold the right to alter and nullify any and all rules. Administrators can do that, after all.

Yes, but do you know how many complaints they would get from users and parents alike? It just wouldn't happen.

Also, about the comics. I think Hannah and the Ice Caves was a one time only comic plot. Meaning, the comic style would only be used for that plot. For the next one, I imagine they'd have something new and original for us. :D

I got another idea. I mentioned it before, but being the persistant bugger that I am, I'll say it again.

Make a type of story to accompany the comic and/or flash. A short story for each chapter, roughly as long as the average Neopian Times short story. I think that if TNT had done this with the Ice Caves plot, there would be a lot less 'plot holes', mistakes and misunderstandings. We would finally get an explanation as to why this or this happnened, without having to make wild assumptions.

Heck, if they're so lazy, they can even use User-Submitted stories for all I care, just something to cover up all these plot holes and make it clear exactly what we're fighting for.

Oh and, I wonder if TNT still realise that they have the 'H' Word (heheh HELLHELLHELLHELLHELL wheeee!!!) on their website. I mean, this plot happened way back, before I even knew how to use Paint without screwing something up. So maybe back then their rules were a lot less harsh, and you could away with saying things like hell and ebay (there are still a few stubborn mods who might warn you for saying it), and get away with giving out free jellies and whatever.
