I hope they'll give out Neopoints. Because we all know those won't go down in value just because everyone would get bunches of them. Unlike any awesome items they might give us.

Well it's been a war of annoyance so it would be very annoying if we didn't get anything at all or just something really lame... Somehow I wouldn't be surprised.

the problem with giving out np though is that the price of everything would increase a lot, the economy would be way out of whack. Billions of neopoints would be released in one day, thats a lot of neopoints, prices woudl increase because the neopoints wouldn't be worth as much.

I don't think that's necessarily true. Generally, your war score reflects how much money you already have, right? Rich players with great pets and BD sets have the highest points, middle-class people are... well, in the middle, and new members/poorer battlers have the lowest score. So we'd all get some NP, but it's not like poor people would suddenly become rich and throw the economy out of whack. Most people wouldn't earn nearly enough to buy any "big-ticket" items or cause them to inflate. A pretty high number of people are in the what, 500-2000 point range? So we'd get 50,000 to 200,000... and that's really not that much cash.

That is true, I mean, if you've gotten 1000 points, chances are, that you have a few million in your bank! It'll be nice if TNT gave out Neopoints according to that ratio, I'd get around 20,000 and I'm happy with that.^^

But here are my predictions:

0-100 Points = T-Shirt
100-200 Points = T-Shirt + 1k
200-500 Points = Better T-Shirt, crappy BD item + 5k
500-1000 Points = Better T-Shirt, 6 Iconer + 10K
1000+ Points = Best T-shirt, a good BD item + 25k

Mmm... Zepp has a very good point though.

There are a large group of people who have 1000+ points. It may not be a majority, but there is a fairly large group. And that would account for A LOT of neopoints...

That does mean a large amount of Neopoints would be given out as a result of htis war... and just giving out NP without anythign "in return" would truely mess up the Neopian Economy...

Rich or not... your going to spend money. Everyone will have slightly more money, that might bump up prices...

Then again... this is neopia. Who knows if regular econ rules follow here...

I really wouldn't get your hopes up on the prizes, the average prize will probably be a t-shirt and 1000 np if you're lucky. If you're really lucky, maybe a three-icon weapon. Neopets won't give out a lot as prizes, it's just not their style. Although 100 np per point sounds nice... it probably would have some sort of small inflation effect on the economy, and, quite honestly, scores over 1000 aren't really that uncommon... I doubt the prizes will be "worth it" no matter what you got. (Well, possibly for 40k+, but that tends to not be an issue for most people :roll:

)

My guess is it'll be something like watericesage's chart . . . only not as good. I got 503 points, & question whether I'd get any weapon for it. I really don't expect a 6-iconer.

(And I wouldn't have got that much except that I switched to a multiple-use more-than-6 weapon -- found a buyable Brain Tree Mace.)

Nah. It probably won't even be close to watericesage's.

The breakdown will most likely be MUCH MUCH wider.
And there's no way people with 1000 points will get a "good" BD item.

We'll be lucky if we even get a below-average BD weapon...

Wider breakdown is (in part) what I meant by not as good.

I might guess T-shirt for up to 1,000 battle points, except that that would put the prize division midway through a "shield" (compass/poster), and I'm not sure TNT would do that. So will the cutoff for T-shirts be 2,000, or 500? Or even higher?

The first, laaaaarge group in BfM got a T-shirt and (I think) 5K NP. Or were there some folk who scored at least 1 war point who got less than that?

Blah, like I always said, take 50-100 neopoints off every active account in the game, and bang, you have a huge prize fund that doesnt create NP out of thin air.
