Neopets doesn't release Petpet morphing potions because they don't want people to be able to cheat the PPL (Petpet Protection League) awards which gives a trophy to the top five people who have had the spotlighted petpet the longest (Petpets which more than likely belong to inactive accounts anyway!)

What do you think Neopets should do? Ditch an awards program that benefits very very very very very very few people and create petpet morphing potions so that people can change their pets without losing how long they've owned the petpet OR keep the site as it is with unchangeable petpets and an awards program that benefits (not even very good benefits) a very select few people?

I believe there are already petpet morphing potions? If there aren't I could have sworn I saw it on the news once. To me it would cost more to actually buy a petpet morphing potion rather than getting a certain amount of nps for the amount of days you've had your petpet. Like before when morphing potions were relatively cheap (most under 40k), and the cheapest ones sometimes costing less than the amount of codestones needed to train a high level pet and many users (including moi) just morphed their fighting pet to the current species up for a species day and free training. (but that was only when training a pet made you use a 10-20 dubloon coin which cost twice as much as the morphing potions back then) and many people did so.

I'm not talking about Neopets. I'm talking about Petpets (the pets you give to Neopets)

I know, i believe there are already petpet mps. But im not entirely sure.

They were never released, pending decisions on wether they would let morphed petpets win PPL prizes/get avatars.

They should just make it so that petpets that had a potion used on them aren't allowed to win the PPL. Then everyone's happy!

I would too... and I thought I would when my petpet was finally PPL. I'd had the pet for over three years but that wasn't good enough to even get a THIRD PALCE trophy. The game is skewed rather unfairly in my opinion because the people who got the trophys probably aren't even playing anymore apart from that a very small number of people actually get the trophy. Getting that trophy is probably the absolute hardest one to get on the site because it all depends on how long you've been playing Neopets.

Besides, petpets aren't like Neopets. It's easy enough just to switch out petpets where as Neopets if you want a new one you'd have to attempt a transfer.

^ lol, fair enough. How come though? The only way you'd likely get the PPL is if you're one of the first 20 people to equip the petpet on the day that it was released...

Not neccesarily. If you happen to paint one of your pets youve had since the beginning of neopets, lets say a chezoom or a mong-mong or something of the sort, but paint it along with the upcoming new colors and they just happen to give PPL's to red hopso's or the sort, then it is quite possible to still win a PPL. Like with the scamandar I believe only a few people had it actually equipped, and the shortest one had it on there for about 2-3 months.

Why create more morphing potions? Let's just keep them unique to the Neopets only
