Well it all started a month ago, my friend trusted this person with helping her transfer a pet, on her main account, she let her on it, and she hacked the whole thing. Gave away her Baby Ruki, Rainbow Krawk, and the whole chebang.
Then, my friend asked her for assistance again, without thinking, she hacked that account, but luckily for my friend, she self transfered her Maraquan Kougra to another account before the person could do anything with her. She abandoned her other pets, and moved the Krawk onto that account, and gave the Baby Ruki to a friend, who then felt bad and attempted to give her back to my friend, but they mistransfered, and soon after, the owner of the Baby Ruki was frozen. The person selfroze the account, with a Werelupe and a Fire Lupe left on it.
I was going to give my Krawk that I had worked hard for to another friend, and the person sent me this mail:
"hi there. id just like to let you know that unless you give PETNAMEREMOVED to OTHERFRIENDSNAMEREMOVED today, im going to catch her/him when you do. right now, my computers being a dork and not working properly. but tomorrow, its getting fixed so i can refresh, and when im not here, itll still be refreshing, believe me. so, yeah. just letting you know."
Um...NO. In that case, I might aswell just keep her.
Yesterday she just hacked my friend, without anything happening. She stole 2.8 million PURE, and a Grey Paint Brush that was intended for me!
She hacked both of my friends accounts, and selffroze them both.
What should we do?
What a pathetic moron.
Only total losers steal from others.
First, do whatever you can to find out the person's username. They don't sound intelligent at all. Then Report away.
Don't you ever let those idiots threaten you.
She's most likely not a hacker, she simply guesses passwords.
If she is a hacker, which I can almost assure you she is not, she would just hack you and take what she wanted from you.
If you need any more suggestions, support, what have you, talk to me any time.
Nothing riles me up more than these (script)kiddies who like to try to push others around.
I already know her username.
Reporting dosen't seem to work for us.
Private Message me the username. I'll report her as well.
I wouldnt advise doing that as it could be taken as false reporting because she hasnt actually done anything to you personally.
I believe "Scamming Others" is a reason for reporting someone on the form. I may be wrong. In any case, if you need help with anything, Xalaxracer, I'll do what I can.
Yes "Scamming Others" is a reason to report someone, but you have no proof that this is the case. No offence but you are just going on someones word, its different if you have seen something in the neoboards or on the trading post and have screenshots or something to back you up. But (and Im not saying this is the case here) people have often got their friends to multi report someone for no valid reason, and I believe that would be called false reporting. Its up to you however, but i wouldnt advise anyone to report someone unless they absolutely know for sure the whole story.

I understand, xjox, and I trust Xalaxracer and his friend. If i'm somehow frozen for false reporting, then that's that. I know the risks. =)

Kirstie, if you want to add anything, please tell me.

Neh, you basically got the whole story down. All I wish to add is that I guess you, Brooke, Mawi, Saifone and some of my guild friends will not be getting their fair share of Christmas presents this year. Say good-bye to your Grey Paintbrush for Anokra...

Naw. I don't mind, I kinda figured.
It'll be my b-day in a couple of months.
Meh, I don't mind, I underestand what happened.

I still feel terrible though. o_o

Hi kirstie, sorry to meet you under these circumstances.
OK, you did a bad thing trying to do a good thing - you let someone else know your password and let them into your account. That means they know the email you use, etc.
Get another email - NOT hotmail. Someone posted on kazaa step by step how to crack hotmail and from what I understand (NO I didn't read it, I find these kinds of people so repulsive) hotmail is super easy to crack. Once they have your email, they can get anything - NOT just your Neo account.
See if someone has gmail and will send you an invite, use yahoo (it's a little safer) or if you use an ISP like msn, aol, etc. if you can set up a new screenname and use that email just for Neo. ISP emails are not as easy as web-based to crack.
Also, make sure you clear everything after you visit Neo or any site - cookies, temp internet. Do NOT talk to anyone you don't know on IMs and if you do talk to people there, set your IM up so people can't send you any files or pictures or anything.
Make sure your anti-virus and spyware scanner/detector/removers are all up to date - run scans of everything. I know of someone who was hacked via IM - a backdoor trojan was sent to him in the IM. It was terrible! And it took forever to find and get rid of, so his computer was messed up just to add insult to injury (of being hacked that way).
Lastly, and I tell people this all the time. I know, I'm paranoid, whatever ... Do NOT put your email, AIM, IM, MSN, website, etc. here on the forum, on Neo or anywhere else. If you want someone to know that information, PM them - and only do that if you feel you can trust them.

First of all, Kirstie, I'm so sorry about what you've lost... It sucks to lose everything you have... It's happened to my a few times... All I guess you can really do is start fresh... Once again, I'm really sorry... I'd donate to you but I'm broke from building a Clockwork Asparagus Chia Army... If you want a section of my army, just ask and I'd gladly give you some Clockwork Aspargus Chia's! I have plenty!

Is Gmail hard to crack or something? I just got a Gmail account (Thanks Dragon Claus!) and I'm wondering if I'm safer with Gmail... Anyway, I love the idea of never deleting a message.
