Oh :oops: thank you! See, I do live up (or down?) to my name here!

OK, I saved the little code as a .css under the All Files in my documents, went to Accessibility and browsed, put that in. Now to go see if it works!

yay! thank you! the banners were totally ruining neo for me. something about seeing a massive ad for credit cards just kinda bursts the little neopia bubbles, you know? and it was getting impossible to restock on my 800x600 res. yr a star!

Wow, that works great! I use Firefox for Neopets and it works the same way (plus it blocks the third-party cookies). I sometimes go into my secondary account on IE, though, so it's cool to have no ads there as well.

Well, it worked! Sort of. Maybe you have to be using straight IE for this to be really effective. My ISP kind of went wonky - it kept freezing and disconnecting itself, so I had to turn that feature off. A shame, it really did look great!

Oh there's a blank (for me anyway) ad that I just got an alert for - Didn't read the whole thing, but it was saying something about did I want to run the Active X. Many spywares use Active X. Did view source - this is a new one to me. www . partner-source.com and http :// partner2profit.com both came up as urls in the ad banner space - just don't know what the ad's for. So be careful!

Save as a .css file and be sure it's somewhere you remember. (That's the most important.) I saved mine as neopets.css.

Next, open up IE. Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Accessibility. Under "user style sheet", check off "Format documents using my style sheet." Next, Browse for your saved file. Click "OK". "OK" again, and then go to a Neopets page. It should disappear.

I found this method in the Neocolours forum. (But I saw it such a long time ago, the above is in my own words) Though the user who posted it has escaped my mind at the moment...

Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou.

I was dying to get rid of that banner without changing browsers.

Thanks again! :D

To repeat my question, know how to do it in Firefox?

Unfortunately, I'm not really sure how to get rid of the white space. Do you have the Adblock feature for Firefox installed? If not, you can download it here: http://adblock.mozdev.org/

It can be used to TOTALLY block advertisements, and not just from Neopets, but from other sites as well :)

Get Adblock, and use it to get rid of the banner.

Then, get ChromEdit ( https://addons.update.mozilla.org/exten ... figuration ) (Top of the list)

Reboot Firefox, Tools > Edit User Files, click the userContent.css tab, then add to the bottom

#ban { display: none !important; }

and click save.
