That has absolutely nothing to do with the demographics of the site now. The majority of players are kids, and TNT has to take steps to protect them. They make the rules, period. If you break them, you have to accept the consequences.

I was correcting someone's statement about the site ORIGINALLY being created for children.
I am in no way justifying the crude actions of various offenders on the Forums and the NeoBoards, or for that matter, anywhere else.

2000 news (just a few months after Neopets was originally created):
"Added a warning to the notice boards, just a plea to stop people posting offensive messages and advertising. Neopets is not a dating agency! Any messages we consider to be off-topic will be removed. Any repeated swearing, soliciting or sexual descriptions will mean account deletion and also a follow-up via your ISP.
This is a children's site and we will be doing our best to keep it safe."
It is posted right there in the news for anyone and everyone to see.

The changes could easily have been brought about in the few months of Neopets' existence; I was just saying it was first made by a couple of bored college students with the interests of others their age at heart, though they would keep the site's content appropriate for all ages.

Hmmm....
Well, to tell the truth, there were a few unjustified freezeings, before I even started rping..
And 'im not making this up, or anything..
About a year ago, I found a post that said 'Bi people are sick' And I went there, totally smurf off. I'm bisexual, and I was offended. So were a lot of people. We practically castrated the guy who said that, saying that gayness and bisexuality is'nt wrong, most ppl can't help it, and I got frozen. The neofriends I'd made on that board, had also gotten frozen. The person who'd made that post however, wasn't..
So, I HAVE been unjustly frozen..
That place is sorta..Homophobic... Even my siggy got me warnings, before..
