Heh, I gave them both a whopping 5 minutes of my time. :P I could have made them smoother/cooler but I'm lazy this afternoon.

Thanks though. :)

I don't think it's that big of a deal, passing notes and all.

Am I don't see how this makes note passing any easier? I mean sure you can hide the paper, but won't it look odd when you keep passing the bracelet back and forth?

Hey Jenny, can I... borrow your bracelet?

I can just imagine someone at school hunching over and pressing some crap on their watch right in the middle of an exam :P

Some kid at school actually got away with using a calculator watch during a maths test in a Non-Calculator section. No need to say, he flew past that section with full marks

Anyway, being a dude and all, that whole bracelet thing seems even more like a waste of time. At least with a note, you can scrunch it up and pretend you're throwing it into the bin, or make it into a paper plane so that you can swiftly fly it to your friend :D

What the heck are you meant to do with a bracelet?

The bracelet comes with tiny "pads" of paper. So you don't pass the bracelet around, you use the itty-bitty pen to write on the itty-bitty paper and then rip off the sheet of paper from the itty-bitty pad and I guess the whole deal is since it's soooo small it's not as likely to be noticed in comparison to passing a full size folded paper.

However, I doubt there is so much you can write on those things. You'd probably have to pass 20 or so of the itty-bitty papers to make the eqivalant of what you wanted to say with one normal note, so I'd say the chances of getting caught would actualy rise using the dumb bracelet.

And how DUMB are you going to look when the teacher notices the odd behaviour of you constantly attempting to write on your bracelet?

Still, it wasn't the product (or how well it will work) but the point they use to sell it. :P

I'm just wondering where we draw the line on what's suitable for a site of this type...is it the banner above?

Or is it here? :

I'm just wondering, because if some parents got all up in arms over a little thing like gambling, what are they going to think when they're kid asks for them to buy some bracelet they saw on neo so they can pass notes in class.... o_O

NOTE: Just in case someone gullible comes along, the watch and knife ad are NOT ads found on Neopets, just a couple I made rather quickly as a joke to illustrate my point. :P

I must be quite gullible. I think they r hallirious

At first I didn't realize what the add was for. Man, that sure is funny: I give it 10/10 Pocketknifes. Lol

I agree there are some rather inapproriate ads.

For instance, what about that slim ad? It features a woman in her bra. Or that balloon ad? Opens up to a scam page.

The greatest one of all - Ebay. Only 2 months ago I recieved a warning for posting the Ebay jingle - because I was advertising 3rd party sites.

There's an ad with a bra on it? O_O I haven't seen THAT one yet. My god, if I had a kid under seven playing Neopets and I didn't know what it was...and I logged on and saw that I wouldn't let him play anymore.
*sigh* Neopets Preminum...here I come!

In junior high, I would pass notes in class just to get caught. They'd say things like "Wow, this is such an interesting lecture!" or "I wonder when we'll get to biomes...."

But then, I'm different.

If they are gonna have ads, then why not at least make them relavent.

Considering that a large amount of players on Neopets are adults, I'd say they're pretty relevant.

The next thing they need to work on is targetting the ads so kids do not see certain ads. But who knows, they might have already done this, it's just that some people lie about their ages for their accounts.

HeeeHeee...that reminds me of the part in Billy Madison where the kids are caught passing notes when the principal was their subsititute. "We're so lucky to have so and so for our teacher...now we get to stare at his fat gut!"

But back on topic....
I was also bothered by a "SHOOT Bugs Bunny and get free Looney Tunes cursors." Woah, woah, woah...SHOOT BUGS BUNNY!?!?!

If I were little, I'd be depressed out of my mind about the idea of killing Bugs Bunny.

Concidering Neopets was originally intended for adults... However, that's a rant for another time.

<STOWA|Sleep> my sister questioned the title. "Half Blooded Prince? Does that mean he's a Moogle"
