What I think TNT should do is lower the price of their Premium. I mean, Runescape Premium Members get a heck of a lot for their buck. Neopets Premium Members get jack-all.

What I hope TNT will do is give Premium Members slightly more advantages, not too many, and lwoer the cost of Premium to about $4 a month MAX. Maybe give them 1 free month if they sign up for a year.

$8 a month will not attract so many players. Especially since most of them are on too tight a budget (or are under the age of 18 ). I know that there is no way I can convice my parents to dish out $8 every month for Neo. But $4 a month... thats a possibility.

Just a question, but does anyone know if you get a refund if your account is frozen whilst paying for Premuim? So lets say you pay for a year, and you get frozen 8 months into that year. Would you get a refund for those extra 4 months?

Oy. They'd probably just say it was your fault for getting frozen and no refunds. There's probably a clause in the Terms you agree to when you sign up.

Correct. :)

Quote:
Provider reserves the right to cancel Service for any reason without prior notice. Pre-paid service is non-refundable. Provider will not refund any shipping or handling fees. Cancellations are defined as a cancellation of the automatic renewal of the account and are not a termination of any prepaid period.

:) I also found this interesting.

Quote:
Provider shall not be liable or deemed to be in default for any delay or failure in performance under this Agreement or interruption of service resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, civil or military authority, acts of public enemy, war, riots, civil disturbances, insurrections, accidents, dire, explosions, earthquakes, floods, the elements, strikes, labor disputes, shortages of suitable parts, materials, labor or transportation or any cause beyond the reasonable control of Provider.

LOL, that clause is standard legalspeak. Basically they're saying that if anything happens, they shut down, whatever -- you can't do anything to them to get money back.

So far I've had 1 random event ... 600np from the lottery. That's it. No other RE's. In fact, I haven't even seen the Ch Ch Chia Badge RE in days!

People who signed up for the beta in the early days are the ones who are paying $4 US a month (if they stayed) ... it is $7.99 US a month now. It is expensive - I'm on a fixed income, the premium is only for 1 account (so if you have more than one, you'd have to buy the premium for all of them!). I'd like to see people with more than one account be able to just have ads removed if they bought the Premium. Not even the "special" board or anything else on any other account - I think that would be an unfair advantage.

So far, though, I have to say I'm loving the no ads and no tracking cookies, adware and malware on my main account - that IS where I spend hours. My other account? Log in, feed pets, get interest, check on things then log out. So yeah, I'm still dealing with ads on my gallery and I don't like 'em. Especially now that I've had a chance to just be on the site without the darned things.

Even with ad-blocking, you may not be seeing the ad, but it's still d/l in the background and those cookies are still trying to sneak in. And the site is running some faster (on dial up) than with the ads. Just not sure about that $8 a month. That is part of my grocery money for the month (yes, I do go food shopping at the $1 store sometimes).

I think the whole Premium feature is in its infancy, really. Just as the Neopets site evolves, so too will the features/prices/packages for Premium accounts. As for me, it is 100% worth it not to have to see those blasted ads (although I was a little ticked by the KND one they snuck in the other day). I do, however, hope they add other packages for Premium, such as $7.99 for the first account and $1.99 for each additional account.

And please, puh-lease fix it so there are no ads on Guild main pages...like others have mentioned, the blog layouts of Guilds are all messed up for Premium members. x_x

I believe you can add your other accounts for free.

If you know a way, please let me know...I've been a Premium Member for months now, and haven't seen anything that indicates you can add another account for free.

Um, you might not want to be posting that here. You know members of TNT pass by and I'm sure that's not something you'd want them to know.
