Ashamed? TNT has NO shame whatsoever. I think they get their jollies by making children cry.

Seriously, there's no way to play neopets and not eventually have at least a few frozen accounts. I have been lucky in that I've only had one frozen (unfairly, of course, because TNT just can't be bothered to check for false reports) in the 50-something months I've been playing.

Im sorry to hear that. that is one thing that i fear about in neopets because we have at leat three different people that play neopets on different computers but all on the same network so more than likely have the same ip addy. we dont play at the same time tho im a night owl and the others play during the day but i still cross my fingers.

Playing consecutively (one after another) on a bank of public computers in a cyber cafe got me and all my friends frozen. "Multiplue accounts" was the charge. So stupid! I sent e-mails until I ws blue, and then wrote a snail mail to them.

In My Opinion, They should make it so you can have a family of accounts. Ex: Dad, Mom, Son, And Daughter. Last Name: Koopanoopa. Now say you send a form out to Neopets stating that you, the koopanoopa family share a computer, and you put the usernames included. Then they could use the same computer without getting frozen! Good idea, or no? :D

The problem with that is that people would abuse it. For example, cheaters who send things to their other account(s) when people report them, won't get iced.

It's the same reason wishboards, secret santa and contests being banned.

There's another reason why a family type thing wouldn't work. Not everyone who shares a computer is a blood relation (read: mom, dad, sister, brother - people with the same last name). There's alot of us who have friends, housemates, etc. who share a computer.

You can send items to your other accounts - that's what most people with galleries on other accounts do. Also send food, enough np via the TP to support that other account. And I know lots of people who just send stuff back and forth between their accounts. I don't consider that cheating in the least as long as they're not rs'ing or doing dailies on their other accounts.

If someone's been reported for doing something that is against the rules, I don't think it would matter whether it was a 'family' account or anything else. There are people who are paying for the Premium and have been frozen, for whatever reason. yes tnt is on a holiday freeze-a-thon

Secret Santas, Wishboards are banned and people are being frozen for them every day because those ARE against the rules. The T&C is vague on many areas (IMHO), but it is very clear that there are no contests, raffles, giveaways, etc. anywhere on the site. They attract scammers and beggers (and yes, begging is against the rules too) and are just plain annoying as well as being against the rules.

Criminy, after reading all of this, I just get so depressed. If only Neopets knew how devoted and law-abiding most of its players were. It is such a shame that the game is so gosh-darned addictive. I swear, worse than any vice I have ever had.

I can only hope that what goes around comes around and someday, when Neo is a fading fad, someone big at Neo will remember all of the players that were thrown away without checking to see if they actually did anything wrong. Shame on Neo for not caring more about its players. Someday, they might find that they need them.

I am trying to start over I am just not happy about it. It would be nice if neo checked before freezing, but that is their chioce. Sorry to hear about your account after such a long time. It is good that you started over.

Sorry. I have one question. If I log-in to my account (that I've created on my computer at home) from cyber cafe, will I get frozen ? :(

I wouldn't worry too much, though stampsyne might feel a bit differently. I guess it depends on how many are playing Neo at the cyber cafe.

My husband created his account at home and plays at work all of the time. I used to play at work until my company instituted a "no games, no music" policy (they were getting viruses from people who played all sorts of games/downloaded music, so shut all of us down).

I am sure lots of people who play at home also play at work, at school, or at a public place, like the library or a cyber cafe.

Agrees with Morningstar. I think? part of the problem alot of times with this sort of thing is people logging in and out one after the other - and no cookies being cleared in between, also on high speed having a static IP. Both of those things can I believe raise a red flag.

Of course, whenever you use a public computer (or even your home puter) you should clear cookies - before you log in anywhere and after you leave any site. Just for your own safer surfing and privacy. On a public computer you have no idea where the person before you may have gone (read bad site - grabbers, keyloggers, etc.) and the person who uses the puter after you - are they going to go through and snoop? You just don't know!
