One problem, though- regardless of whether or not you send a snail or e-mail, you wait months, perhaps even a year or two, before you get so much as an acknowledgement of your existance.
My husband got his account back within a week of sending a snail mail and my daughter got her account back within 24 hours of my sending an email. Maybe, we were just lucky. Maybe we knew the right words to say or the right tone to use in our letters. Maybe it was our credentials. Maybe it has all changed since then (a year for my daughter and 18 months for my husband). But, it did happen.

People here are too optimistic. I appreciate your support and the support you give to others in times of need, but the harsh reality is that we are more likely to get frozen a second time than to get our accounts back, simply because we are "troublemakers" and started over, very likely not to "turn over a new leaf" (as though we had done anything offensive in the first place).
Without optimism, there is no reason to ever do anything--in virtual life or real life. Trust me, in real life, I am not the happy, cheery person that has had gold fall at my feet. You have no idea the stuff I have been through in the years I have been on this planet. However, I am a realist. Good things can happen--perhaps not now, and perhaps not to you, unfortunately. But, maybe the things that happened to you and to others are paving the way for the future. For others that find themselves in your situation later on. I know that doesn't mean a hill of beans to you--being frozen unfairly and trying so desperately to convince Neo of their error. I feel bad that I don't have a magic wand to change that--really, I do.
But, I remember a time when no one ever, ever got compensated for any items lost due to glitches. No matter how many reports we filed. No matter how much people lost or how many people lost it (remember the TP glitch?) We were just supposed to "suck it up" and keep playing--and not complain about it. Ha! Guess, I didn't hear that last part--as anyone on PPT can attest. I have been christened the "glitch faerie" by a few here on PPT. Lost more than $1.2 million in items in the past 18 months.
And, guess what? Neopets has changed its thinking--maybe because enough of us wrote to complain--not just on bug reports, but here on PPT. After all, we have had at least one PPT staffer here reading our posts. The last major glitch we had, they gave items back to people that wrote in bug reports about their losses. And, I was one of them. And, this past weekend, I noticed a change in quick stock. Even when I had gotten the "Page cannot be displayed" error while doing quickstock, the items I was transferring did not disappear. Not one of them. So, maybe they heard me and others with our suggestions of a new way to recapture lost items.
If they can make a change to the way the lost items are handled, maybe eventually they can make a change to the way they deal with frozen accounts. Maybe they will see the error of their ways. If I didn't have hope, I would have quit playing Neopets long ago.
Tested made this fabulous set for me!!! Isn't it great?
