For those topics one could describe as the forum equivalent of a twinkie. Word games, forum contests and giveaways are all the rage here.

Looks like we've got a decision to make here, peeps.

Do we make a majority on the first night, thus increasing our chances of getting a baddie next time although chancing getting a role on our side, or do we wait until next execution when we're more sure?

Hmm...

Let's vote :D

First day executions are teh EV1L!!1!eleven!!1!
funny morph to chat speak :P

Anyway, you could take the chance of hitting a bad guy with the first day execution, but I haven't had it happen in any of the games I've been in. The statistically is a higher chance of hitting a bad guy next time, but the chances aren't really noticably higher because the bad guys will still look just as innocent. The reason I choose not to have a first day execution is because the bad guys will look exactly like the townsfolk, and they should know not to bring any attention to themselves. And the victim for first day executions is usually someone who did something really unimportant to the game, i.e. posted first, sounded stupid, etc. I like giving the dreamers a chance to get someone, and at least partly clearing someone. If you do try to get an execution on someone, or two people this time, then choose someone who isn't really posting too much, or someone who just posts not to get modkilled. I know I wouldn't want to post much on the first day knowing it's always a random execution.

The chance of hitting a baddie is 25-33%. Although that seems like good odds, we've never succeeded so far.

If we do go for it, I'd go for a less suspicious person. When I was bad last game, I always took more care with what I said because I didn't want to draw attention to yourself.

I'd rather not vote, because of the rubbish odds

watch your back.

o_0; Youch... I may have put myself in a bad position, but then again, that would be too obvious wouldn't it? :D

Anyway, I really have no one to accuse right now.

Ahh thanks Kugetsu :) For my first game I don't think I did too badly either... Do I have to watch my back? *runs*

EDIT: *darts back to say "I WAS RIGHT!!!"*

Yeah, I was going for the "The obvious is TOO obvious" last game, and it worked until I was brutally stabbed and stuffed into the royal oven. -_-; Of course, this game might be just a bit more difficult than the last, and hopefully even more interesting. :D

I don't think that the first day majority is the best way to go. We do always ending hitting an Angel or some kind of protective role.

Fweee random number generators rock!

Nothing personal. Just didn't think a majority was the best way to go. :)

With this random voting, I don't think there is a majourity. o__O

I think there quite obviously isn't going to be one. I have to agree with Matt on this. The odds of actually hitting someone bad is not good enough for me to vote for anyone.

Hold on. Won't something happen if there is no majority? Like a random killing? Scott asked that question at the end of WW4.

Eek, I think you are correct. I think there was something mentioned sometime about that, heck it might even be in the rules. Looks like I'll have ot read it AGAIN...
