Guys with laptops, come here. Interesting article.

Using a laptop on your lap for an extended time can damage your sperm count.

"Balancing it on the lap increases the temperature of the scrotum which is known to have a negative effect on sperm production, researchers found."

""They are frequently positioned close to the scrotum, and as well as being capable of producing direct local heat, they require the user to sit with his thighs close together to balance the machine, which traps the scrotum between the thighs."

Scary.

*Points and laughs at all the guys who have damaged sperm count from laptops*

A larger damage to sperm counts comes from the continued use of plastic drinking containers, which leach small amounts of chemicals that mimic estrogens into the stomach lining, and then into the bloodstream.

Male sperm counts have dropped by about 40 percent since 1950 in the developed world.

So drink out of glass more often. If you want to have kids.

I was certain all that heat wasn't a good thing. Uncomfortable as heck too.

A swedish man had to go to hospital after he scorched his "smurf and scrotum' after using his laptop for a long period of time on the aeroplane.

Perhaps it's time for laptop A/C units?

Oh, I saw that as well. And guess who showed it to me? A guy friend whose laptop overheated the previous evening. I laughed so hard.

As interesting as this all is, I think in the long run, it'd go over much better in PPT Guys.
