Adding on to what MorningStar said, Neopets has filters for words like "Hell". When I was in Denmark, I made my cousin a Neopets account and he named his Neopet, "fckfck" and instantly that pet was cleared and he recieved a warning. He named it "fckfck" because that's a soccer league or something he likes in Denmark.

Anywho, the point of that was that Neopets should automatically detect any pet with an inappropriate word such as "Hell" (By their standards).

They might have a system to where it detects latest neopets name. Yet it sometimes makes me wonder if they go oer each name and finds whether they're threatening or not.

EDIT: This is a 45 month old account I've come across lately. Of course the user hasn't logged in in about a year.

EDIT2: I've also come across a pet called The_Green_Pimp. Would that also be considered innapropriate?

Well, this is another case of I don't see anything wrong with the user or pet name *shrug*, but that's just me. Maybe because I'm older, or because of certain things I've been through in my life, things I've seen, etc. But there is MUCH worse on the site and other places.

I have seen some names that have made me go WHA?!!!, and usually those end up either deleted or frozen. Not that I've reported them (am NOT report happy).

As to the whole issue of certain words ... this makes no sense to me at all. I get warned, another member here gets warned then frozen for typing ebay while others don't; some people get warned and/or frozen for typing the "H" word, the "D" word and (hope this is ok to say here - it's so far from profanity to me) crap. Yes, I've seen people frozen instantly on the boards for saying that word, while others get away with it - along with the other 2 words.

Oh, that's nothing. I've seen ones with sexy in it. Apparently Neo doesn't like that word, so they kept on converting that username to "stupid" on the chat boards when people tried to type out his name >P

If Bob Villa can say "That is a really sexy sink." I see no problem with it used when applied to a petpet. If you cannot say witch, then why could you say angel? Both have some religious meanings. I think anything you use as a username can offend somebody in some way. I don't think it is worth being frozen over.

I think the username autopsy666 is in bad taste, but I don't find it offensive. *shrugs* Then again, I'm a Forensics major and am used to seeing the word "autopsy" often. The "Hellwitch" name is ify - it depends on whether or not there is a censor on the word "Hell" on Neo.

It's probably a 13 year old who thinks using those words are cool and her using them makes her "bad". @_@

Oh I beg to differ here. The player is a swedish metal babe, and all pets are named after metal bands. These are bands I also listen to and I'm 27 years old. Sh's just expressing her musical taste and if you're already offended by these names you might want to consider getting a life...

I see nothing wrong with the pets name. Believe me, there are much worse usernames on neo.

Never said I was offended by them. I'm not Swedish, nor listen to Swedish music so I would've never known the band names. *shrugs* My association with the word "Autopsy" does not involve music but dead people.

I too dont see that much wrong with the name, but neo has a lot of words you can not use. Hot being one of them, even when youare talking about the weather.
I was frozen for telling my guild the name of my hometown. Really I should have know better, so it was my own fault.

but yes there are much worst names on neo then that.

Eh, the names aren't that bad. I've seen some people make their pets seem like the latest adult film stars.

lol! I'd just love to see a pimp neopet get the pet spotlight XD Haha, that would be so grand.

At any rate, those names aren't all that terrible. I've seen far worse in the pound. But hey, to each his own..

This summer my 15 year old nephew made his first ever account, I think the name was "chrisisapimp" or something like that....

ICED within 15 minutes of creating the account because of the name. ;)
