My friend, kristullize, was Frozen for something she posted on the boards.. She had never gotten a warning before..
she posted 'Shake it like a poloriod picture.', and the next time she logged in.. JUST-ICE was in effect..
What staffie's email are good with things like this, and may help her have a chance of being unfrozen?

I wish I could help, but the staff email addresses I gave to someone else that had worked for me in the past came back as undeliverable. They might have set it up so you can't email staff members directly anymore.
You could always try snail mailing them (i.e., a letter with a postage stamp). I don't have the address anymore, but it can be found at the California Secretary of State's office, which can be accessed online. A corporation has to register its physical addresss with the Secretary of State in the state in which it has been incorporated, which in Neopets' case is California.

Chances are:
Mod: SHAKE IT?! SHAKE WHAT?
Adam: I don't like outkast. let's go listen to jay chou!
Mod: ok. BURN! Err...ICEEE!

They probably thought that comment was inappropriate. I don't think she'll get it back, but you can at least try.

Yeah.. She had a uqite a few battle ducks, and more importantly, a pet that she had saved up for 3 years to paint.. she had to get offline, but I hope that she will get it back.. That's why I hate the neoboards.. ><

Neoboards are evil. I have seen too many people frozen for stuff that really didn't seem against the rules. And, not because the monitors caught it, but because some evil person decided to hit that easily accessible report button.
But, I have to tell you, it seems that Neo is really cracking down on anything and everything. A guildmate was just frozen for attempting to post the word "hell" on the guild board. The filters caught it and didn't let her do it, but she was frozen anyway. So, I hate to say it, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for your friend.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. You know, there is a divine irony in the Zero tolerence policy lately.. except.. somehow that one rip-off image is up in the gallery, the user has a prize AND it states in the submission rules that plagarism will get you frozen. >_<
I am bitter, just a little. I'll stop complaining about it now. ^^;

Perhaps it was an unjustified freezing, but I would say that she deserves a warning.
I'm pretty sure we all know that Outkast isn't referring to the hokey pokey when they say shake and it is a sexually motivated saying.
Going out on a limb here, but has your friend ever EVER been warned for anything before. If a user continually posted comprable messages despite warnings, I wouldn't hesitate to freeze.
Being particularly ornery I might send them the spelling correction of "polaroid", then freeze them. Just for a laugh.

Baku, what is the reason stated on the page when your friend tries to log in?
As far as freezing someone for saying shake, it's as bad as warning/freezing people for saying cookie - there are items on the site, like milkshake, rose shake, how many different kinds of cookies?
Tell your friend to fill out the autoform (I know, bleh), be polite, give as much information as possible and tell her to apologize if she has inadvertently broken a rule or typed a word that she did not know was against the rules.
I hope she gets her account back, if in fact "shake it like a polaroid picture" is what she was frozen for.
We all have to be so very careful when posting on the site, be it on the boards or in your guilds, as well as what's on your lookup, pet descriptions, petpages and shops. All it takes is one word out of context and Bam.
for Stampsyne ... thank you

All the kitties in my sets are either ours (my roomie has 10! I have 1, new roomie 0 ... so far) or pics we've taken of cats we've been able to rescue and adopt out.

But it wasn't taken out of context.
The context is a man telling a woman to shake her bottom and/or bosom because he finds it sexually attractive and exciting.
That is the context. Context central! Context-o-rama!
Now I don't agree with them being so sensitive, but if they're goin to crack down, they have a perfect right to crack down on this one.
Now if they were to get mad at me for using the word crack so much, it'd be a different story. Provided the context of course...
Crack it like a polaroid picture, hopefully would be okay.

Perfectly said. I think on and off, TNT has people mods, not robots, browse around to check the context, switched spellings, spaces and stuff that people use to get their bad words past the filter. So people will think they will get away with saying, a** ect. but they won't.

I'm always tempted to post on them whenever i look at them. so i thought the best thing I could do was make an under 12 acct.

"shake it like a polaroid picture" is not offensive. im sorry, it's not. it's so general it could mean shaking maracas, shake-n-bake chicken, whatever.
you have to be reaching to pull something offensive out of that. it doesn't even say anything about a man asking a woman to shake her butt in the song, even though that may be implied. even so, how is that offensive? kidz bop covered the song, for gosh sakes!
i hate the neoboards. i hope your friend gets her account back

Outkast was the one who kind of coined the term though. It's like, did you ever hear that phrase before 'Hey Ya'? No. So people generally think of that song when they hear it.
