Uh, who in this thread has claimed Neopets is their life? I just want to know what made you think it was a good idea to come in here and post this completely uncalled-for statement. Really. I'm curious.

Also, not everyone who plays Neopets is still in school or lives with their Mom. I'm 23, a journalism school grad and a fairly busy person. Neopets is a fun game I play when I want to relax, not my life. My account was frozen once, and yeah I complained, but it wasn't the end of the world -- and eventually I DID get it back, which proves it is possible.

If you actually take time to read some threads before you start jumping on people for no reason, you'll find there are a lot of 20-something and older players who don't appreciate being generalized in this way -- not to mention a great deal of younger players who don't consider Neopets their whole life. Most people have perspective. Why don't you try getting some?

Hmmm.. and here is an prime example of someone who gets up in arms over something that's "just a game." If you really don't care about it, why are you here giving us a hard time about something we like to do as a hobby? Besides, this is off topic anyway.

On topic - I remember when the war was something that was on the horizon, but not actually a full rumor! I remember being able to buy a codestone for 2k to 3k! Now, they run from 5k - 6k!

I don't know how the topic got shifted like this. But, I hardly play neopets anymore but I still think it's more than a game - it's an obsession.

I loved the neo costumes game! And I tried to play NeoDJ, but that game is hard!

Y'know prime, I've noticed we get a few hecklers every so so often PPT. My opinion (for what it's worth) is this: Yes, it's just a game. I'm sure we all realize that. This is a NEOPETS FORUM. That's the reason people get their underwear all in a bunch over things that happen on... yep. You guessed it. Neopets. That's what this forum is for. If you think it's silly how obsessed people get on this forum, please don't tell them to "get a life." Obviously you've read through all the threads, otherwise you wouldn't be responding. If it irks you to read all the obsessive rants, then don't read them.

You're the sad one who signs up and slags us off for ranting about Neopets. Don't like the rants? You don't have to read them. Point blank.

If not, and he has the courage to come back and read replies to his posts, he should realise that he is in the fact the one who needs to "get a life" if his life consists of him/her telling other people that they are inferior. I start playing in 2000. But than ive been frozen, and frozen and frozen back againg...oh ive been frozen soo many times! (and for nothing really im not a scammer or something like that)

So have the best of us, hon. Usually, there's no definite reason why they freeze. It's miscommunication for the most part. Don't feel as if you're a scammer just for being frozen, most of us have done nothing and we still get nailed for god knows what crazy reason their freeze-bot comes up with.

Been frozen, on record, nine times. I'm still waiting for the tenth - knowing Neopets, they'll come up with some utterly stupid reason as to why I've been frozen again...no doubt that'll be because "You were cheating on Flash Games" - uh huh, I rely on the TP and general restocking for my NP. And it took me 4 months to get to the hardest level on Whack-A-Kass too (yes, I know, I have a stupidly slow computer whose graphics card is dying a slow death - so for it to keep up with -any- of the site's flash games is like finding a needle in a haystack and then looking for the single thread that came with the needle...). How is that cheating?

I started on Neopets in November of 2002, and I remember it was in the middle of the Meridell war. I used to price codestones for 990 np in my shop when I didn't know their real value
I actually might have started a few years earlier than that, with an account which I believe had a green Zafara in it, but I don't really remember much about it, as the site didn't interest me as much then...

I miss the good, not-so-commercial days. They should make a new Neopets site for veterans, where the good old days could be recreated. They could call it AnceoPets (or whatever the greek for old is instead of anceo)
