What is up with the news never being released at the same time every day? I thought there was something about 5 or 6 months ago about the news being synchronized so it was automatically released at the same time every day. It's pretty obnoxious expecting to read the news for Monday, while in reality, you can't read the Monday news until Tuesday night. Does anyone else think this is something that needs to be worked on?

No! I hope not, releasing the news at the same time every day is a bad idea! Its much better when they release it at different times because people in other time zones don't have to wake up in the middle of the night just to see the news!

As I remember they were going to sink all languages but keep times random.
I'd like to see them sink it to where it was released the same time in each time zone. Like 7PM every where. I know that would still give advantages to some but we'd all get the news on the same day... the actual day it is for. I hate those days it isn't even released before midnight NST(3AM here) of the next day.

Seeing that it wasn't, I came to PPT. I really wish there was some "reliable" window of time in which the news were released regularly.

We've had them go up the morning of a weekday, sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes at a good time in the evening, then late late at night, and yes, even the next day. We're all familiar with this...maybe it's done that way so that Neo gets more page hits, because randomness causes people to go to their computers more.

No, that would still be unfair for some people, since they may not be able to be around during the stipulated time for news releases. I think random times are still better.

And bluebird, that is a good point, releasing the news at random times does keep players on Neo longer... though I doubt TNT is that scheming to deliberately implement such a system for that.

Oookk.. now we have gone from old news to no news at all.. I don't see anything but a blank page.

I think that there is nothing wrong with posting the news at the same time every day. I actually think that they should post something in the news on the day it comes out. Random times in MP and LC is all fine and dandy, but pet day reminders, submission winner (of ALL types) as well as what is happening on the site, good or bad, outwiegh whatever advantage is gained or lost by having the latter two posted at the same time very day.

Posted does not necessarily mean that they need to START at that time for those still stammering in

I don't see how you can post about the LC or MP but not start it. In the first place, having them in the news is to inform us that they have started, right?

And I beg to differ with your first paragraph. It doesn't matter whether you know the news on time or not, since there are no advantages accrued by it other than knowledge (most of the time). However, starting the LC and MP on the same time everyday will disadvatage those who cannot be on on those times.
