I like the WoMo. I just bring up another window and do something else as it spins. If you win the prizes can be nice.

I'm a Monotony fan. I usually spin before I go for a shower, or to work/sleep/class, I come back and more often than not, theres a prize.

You can open things in tabs you know... You don't have to open an entirely new window.

Maybe some people are using Internet Explorer.

And, even though I use Firefox, I always accidentally close tabs/windows that I'm not currently viewing and so my brain thinks it's "done". And then I forget to use that process link.

WOE is lot faster, and definitely more fun than waiting for 2 hours.

The people using IE are...how should I put this...unintelligent. So I don't care about them.

That's quite a rude statement. People have reasons for using what they do and it doesn't make them unintelligent.

There's no reason to use IE.

Please put yourself into others' shoes before making comments like that. When I was on dial-up, I had to pay for every second I was surfing the net, and being on for more than 2 hours just for a stab at getting a good prize is totally unwise. While many people have unlimited broadband access now, I'm sure many are still stuck with dial-up modems which require paying by usage time.

As for using IE or Firefox, admittedly, Firefox is better than IE in many ways, but there are reasons why people prefer IE. For example, some sites people surf regularly may not be compatible with Firefox, and Firefox still has some problems with Neopets. Calling people unintelligent for not using Firefox is totally uncalled for.

What are you on? Dial-up providers don't make you pay for every hour you're connected. Unless you have some weird ISP. Then that's your fault.

It's not Firefox's fault that it doesn't work with some websites - it's called sloppy coding. Firefox doesn't recognize crap that lazy webmasters put out.

I use IE, and I don't appreciate the insult. This is the foruth or fifth time in a week you have insulted me on a comment like this.. Lighten up please.

I like the Wheel of Monotony best. I always get either stupid prizes or my pet gets it's health lowered on the other ones. :( At least with the Monotony Wheel I can catch up on my reading.

Excuse me? I use IE so are you calling me unintelligent? And this is not a rhetorical question, I would like an answer please.

From your nasty comments, I'd say you are an ignorant person and those who are ignorant, aren't likely to be intelligent themselves.

Please, really think about what you are saying. Everyone has a right to an opinion.

EDIT: P.S. I don't particularly care for either, I end up on a loss with every wheel! Guess I'm just unlucky.

Buddy, you're the one spinning the wheel for two hours waiting for it to give you a prize, which most of the time is nothing. And you call others unintelligent?

Actually the majority of ISP's offer a variety of internet plans from high speed broadband for the serious everyday user and pay per minute for the occasional user. It works by your computer dialing a local number and your phone company charge you accordingly. Its not weird it caters for different needs.

If someone has to use dialup why is that 'their fault' maybe they dont have the finances to afford to pay for a faster service or maybe their mummy and daddy wont pay for it. Or, maybe they make the choice because that is what suits their needs.

I personally use firefox but some people who access the internet may not have the option to download stuff onto the computer. If they are accessing from school or something then they cannot very well download software without permission nor can they wait 2 hours for the wheel of monotony to stop spinning. There are many different reasons why people choose the games that they play, what browser they play them on and what service they use to access the games.

Dial-up services and broadband services are unlimited.

No they arent,

Broadband is that you pay a certain amount of money each month and your computer is always connected to the internet. This is unlimited.

Dial up package 1 is that you again pay a certain amount of money each month but your computer is not always connected to the internet you have to manually connect it when you turn your computer on. Your computer dials a free phone number and you are not charged by your phone company. This is mostly unlimited, although some companies require you to reconnect after an hour or so.

Dial up package 2 is that you dont pay any money each month (or in some cases a small fee is applicable) you have to manually connect your computer to the internet when you turn it on. Your computer dials a local rate phone number and your phone company charge you on your bill. This is not unlimited.

This is an internet service provider perhaps you should take a look at their price plans. http://www.home.ntl.com/icat/dialupinternet
