How would they differentiate between her and the phantom? Him with his mask, her with her mask...*shudder*

Yes, it's a problem isn't it with her and her mask of fake tan and make up. It falls off when it rains. *nods*

I'm nervous, I'm a huge Phantom fan, I saw it while it was in Toronto on stage twice.

I prefer the low, fierce tones of Colm Wilkinson as the Phantom, the one they have on the movie website sounds way too wimpy to be this guy I was totally in awe and fear of.

But I'll save judgement until I see it, their Christine sounds fantastic.

I know, I'm totally pumped for the movie coming out. I haven't seen the play but I've read the book (by Gaston Leroux) like 20 times and I love it. I'm just bummed that the movies come out when I'm not anywhere near a theater.

I really think my friend at http://www.queenofwands.net really says it all:

I'm not looking forward to this at all. It belongs on stage. Not on film. *sigh* I'm an extreme broadway snob and I know it, but leave my musicals alone!

<STOWA|Sleep> my sister questioned the title. "Half Blooded Prince? Does that mean he's a Moogle"

Ya, I will be so sad if they totally destroy the story. That would suck. But I still want to go see it. I really want to see the set they used. When I was in Paris this last spring I went to the Paris Opera House (where the Phantom of the Opera is rumored to have lived) and the building is amazing. I saw an opera there and I think I spent more time oggling the roof and the building. Everything is coated in gold and stone and it is lit by candles and all the seats and doors are covered in deep red velvet. It just feels warm and cozy and rich (not money wise) .I'm sorry if that was a really bad description but I can see it in my head and I'm doing my best but words can't really describe how beautiful it is. It is my favorite place in the world. I had to drag the people I was with back to the building a couple of times. And there are so many nooks and crannies - I can definitely imagine someone being able to live there and never have to walk a main hall once. I just wish I could have explored it further (they only let the public in the lobby and up into the museum).

Well of course Eric has to die at the end. We don't want him to, but it has to happen because that is the way it has to happen. But I wouldn't be so bummed out if they didn't make it happen and he and the girl live happily ever after in their mansion in catacombs...

My french teacher is planning to see it in the theaters with us. A field trip with us and the niners. We studied it in grade 9 and it was an alright book.
