Artificial inflation is against the rules.

It has been tried. Pretty much every one of these schemes has resulted in a few making money, while many many others lose money. It's like a cartel really... they have an agreement, then some start to cheat on the agreement and everything goes to heck.

I think its fine if you as an individual want to buy alot of a particular item, what is against the rules is if a group of you get together in the aim of driving prices up on an item.

You answered your own question, TWW. You're just collecting them, you're not hoarding them so you can corner the market and sell them for a ridiculous price.

Well, artifical inflation is a form of cheating, since you're benefiting yourself and only a small group of friends at the expense of others. It's because of the cheating aspect that it's against the rules, it's not something entirely out of the blue.

It's my personal view that people who read the rules, are the players that really want to stay on the site.
It's not 'crap' as you put it, it's the truth. They put the rules where everyone can read them. It's to keep things fair among the players.
Nothing wrong with that is there?

i guess thats you're definition of cheating, personally i think cheating is acting dishonestly or decieving by trickery.

That's only part of the definition. It generally means obtaining the upperhand unfairly, and 'dishonesty and decieving' fall under that definition.

Actually i have read the rules, several times, most recently 10 minutes ago when i looked for a rule against "artificial inflation" or any similar practices, and guess what there were none. and i do enjoy this site and if you think i dont because i want to use allies to benefit us all then i guess that is your "personal view".

Hey now...
If you've been playing Neo for awhile, and reading this site for awhile, you should know by now that there are unwritten rules.
I don't understand... "because I want to use allies to benefit us all". This isn't using allies, it's cheating.
Whole guilds have been frozen for doing this exact thing, buying an item to drive the price. And do you know what those people were told when they tried to log into their account "You have been frozen for cheating...".

I don't feel the need to go on.
