Uh, that really annoyed me a while ago...
I went to a shop that had a cheap codestone, and I was trying to click on the item, but the person had so many fake items and 'something has happened's, that I clicked on one by mistake and it lead me to the petpage....
Talk about bad custemer service

I don't dislike fake items and REs as much as shop backgrounds, banners and music which take ultra long to load. I normally just leave those shops without buying anything. Fake items and REs are normally easy to spot and are obviously fake so I never click on them by accident. At least they do not take up loading time like those shops with music or backgrounds.

Gemhustler wrote:When I first started playing Neoptes I had a fake RE in my shop that said something close to "The tooth Faerie takes one of your teeth" .. it didn't say she gave you anything however my shop was reported for my RE and my whole shop description was cleared and I got a warning stating fake RE's and fake items were not allowed!
I don't have a problem with shops that have them. unless they have 5 or more of them in a row and I have so keep scrolling to get to their items that are being sold... and music .. BLAH.. I just close the shop and find another one without music .. the music always lags my computer up.
Like Gemhustler said, FAKE RANDOM EVENTS AND FAKE ITEMS ARE BANNED! If you're feeling REALLY annoyed, you technically could report the shop, and it'd get cleared, warned, etc. But I personally don't enjoy reporting people, so the best thing to do would be to neomail the shop owners telling them that the fake RE/items in their shops are actually not allowed.
On the other hand, I rather like the obviously fake items, like "Freedom! Priceless."

The problem could eb easily solved by having the 'featured item' below the line seperating shop description and items.

I really hate the religious and patriotic fake items. Has anyone ever noticed that the religious fake items are always Christian? And patriotic fake items are always American? Maybe the rest of the world knows enough to not fool people who actually want to buy things.
I like the new system. It's good when you are shopping in one of those humongous mall shops that people (e.g Hrobi) have. You just have to be very careful, slow down, and read everything.
What I don't like are people who clearly don't know HTML but have a ton of things in their shops. Dolls, blinkies, counters, fake items, I've been to shops that had all that AND a looping MIDI in the background. I have a pretty fast computer, but it was brought to a grinding halt by this one shop!! I should have reported them. The crime? Lack of ability to decorate shop appropriately.

The most annoying thing I can think of in a shop is a list of ten adoptables/quizzes. By the time I get down to what I wanted, it's usually out of stock. >.<
Well, actually not anymore. ^^"; I use the find feature on Firefox, and it works lovely.
And yes, the new feature is nice. You just have to take the extra second to make sure you're getting the item you wanted and not getting scammed.

I went to a shop a while ago and found this item that was a good amount lower than other offers according to the shop wizard. When I tried to click on it, it direct me to...somewhere else. I could have always clicked on something else, but then they weren't actually selling the item. If that's true, why did it show up on the shop wizard?

Are you sure someone just didn't snag it before you did, Puck? Or am I misunderstanding you?
The -only- time I feel fake random events are useful and not annoying are adoption notices. I lab pets and give them away, and oftentimes I'll have a little RE in my shop with the pet's picture that says something like "(pet name here) approaches you and asks, 'Do you want to adopt me?'"
I don't have music, a background, or any other graphics. Just that. And it's helped me find some of my best owners, so I'd be awfully unhappy if they banned them.

Ok, I gotta admit you're using the something has happeneds in a good way, Ice. However, you appear to be in the minority, which is sad. Don't abuse anything TNT gives you, people of Neopia, because they can just as easily take it away!
