It lasted for a good 4 years before it became what it is today: a topic of ridicule which only the youngest of children enjoy.

This I agree. TNT holds a long list of unfinished plots/broken promises. They make people excited over nothing and cause prices to inflate, but in the end give nothing to show for it.

I feel the need to point out here that the sloth plot was also a Trading Card Game plot. It's not like neopets shoved aside a real plot to do a TCG plot. They mearly dropped one TCG plot to make room for another.

Can we say NeoSchools?
(Haven't read most of this topic - apologies if someone already said this)

Wow, pleased to see that you agree with me.But I can't exactly say whether or not half of the staff don't care about the players. I mean, there are quite a few good staff members other than Bryan. I was helped by someone named Grace. The response only took 2 days
As much as people would like to think otherwise, Adam and Donna do care for the players. However, you must remember that they are not the official owners of neopets.com anymore. They don't always get the say in whats in and not. And they don't always know about everything that goes on either...

Delayed and/or cancelled projects are definately nothing new. They took years to create the battledome after promising it within their first couple of weeks...
Adam himself said he often finds that rather than playing the game he often just goes around fixing errors he sees while browsing the site. Surely HE would a lot about what goes on, but he can't do much about it because, like you said, neither Adam nor Donna have a great influence in the way the site is run anymore aside from coming up with new item, pet, world, or plot ideas, and perhaps answering simple (or perhaps not) questions in the editorials, as well as eating asparagus and freezing evil people Evil or Very Mad . As vast a range of power as that might seem to some, it has no influence over the way other monitors will enforce the site policies, how sponsors are advertised on the site, how the company's revenue is handled, how support and the rest of the e-mail-answering staff will respond to the players... They are unable to do very much as far as the company's decisions in the interest of finances and capital go, and they can't control others' minds (duh Cheeky Tongue). So yes, while some care exceptionally for the interest of the players, I can assure you a large portion (or perhaps most of) the staff couldn't care less about how we feel and merely operate in the interest of making a profit. I can also tell you that to some of them we're just another number in milions of players, and whether we're frozen or not doesn't matter to them, and rather than look into issues they'd freeze you just to be "safe". This might not be what they show us with words, but they certainly show it through their actions
I understand I run a tremendous risk by posting something like this on here, but it is for the greater good.

Glitches are really uncontrollable. DO YOU REALY THINK THEY MAKE GLICHES FOR FUN?! Don’t you believe that if they could return your items, they have done this long ago?!

The owner's name is Doug Dohring. I think he's in it solely for the money. True, the purpose of a company is to make profits, but when you stop caring about the consumer then those profits mean nothing.

Big sites outght to be perfect, or else others will become bigger.
Numerous examples exist...Kneazle wrote:So, why they don’t fix their mistakes? Well, sometimes they do fix them. They don't fix their mistakes because it takes time and money.
Of course, a few hundred mistakes (any kind) a day should be common to any site with a few million members. This does not mean that the customers will accept it (yes, we are customers).Kneazle wrote:Glitches are really uncontrollable. DO YOU REALY THINK THEY MAKE GLICHES FOR FUN?! They make gliches because they are in a hurry to release half-tested software. This is common practice for any software business (even Microsoft does it). But they surely can fix them (i.e. return items or whatever it takes - a backup is always available).Kneazle wrote:Neopets is not none profit organization. Very very true. And as any business they have to respect their customers, to ensure loyalty. Returning customers should be even more respected. Let's not forget that customers who complaint, are still customers.
