Oh, and something that's been bothering me is that the Fruit Machine has a high score table - that doesn't exist! I don't get how it would even have one because the prizes are all pre-determined (as far as I know)

The top prize of the fruit machines gives you a variable amount of neopoints.

You can check it out on my highscores list @ Hydruxo :
Fruit Machine 32,037 Neopoints Novice (advance at 35000)

There was a high score table at some point but it was taken down soon after. I don't know why though :P

I'm unsure if it's related to the top banner, but it's definitely only been happening on Neopets.

When I go to click on a link, about 1/3 of the time, it takes me to a blank page with the word "done" on the bottom bar. About 1/6 of the time, I get a "cannot connect to server" error.

I'm running DSL on a fast computer with winXP and IE6.

I have exactly the same situation , and am also an Aussie, quite often I look something up on the wizard as well and just get done down the bottom and a completely blank screen., either that or constantly getting "this page cannot be displayed" .

Site has been awfully slow since Halloween too, I feel like Im back on 56k speed...

Looking at the neo clock while refreshing the shop wiz, I have a 12 sec refresh time on 1024/256 DSL.... which is soooo slow...

SS:)

I have heard some NEW complaints about non-flash games again. Bilge dice is currently a blank page, in which several people have mentioned. I cannot access it 10:45 NST 11/7

Adam, hope you're feeling better, and I'm probably too late but if you are really bored then here goes:

There's a problem with some people's trades in which they never show up on a search by item name. You can read the saga of my first encounter with it here:
http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8534

I just tried Hannah and the Ice Caves today after not playing for a while since switching between Hannah and Armin did not work on my main computer, though it always worked on my laptop. Well it works now, thanks for fixing it! What was the problem? I thought I had narrowed it down to the way some functions within the Flash Director program work with some processors, it sure baffled me!

I block ads, so I can't answer that one! :P

EDIT: Do you think the picture of the girl could have been because someone's DNS server went crazy? (ie. pointing them to some other site when it looked up http://www.neopets.com)

What would Honor do?

Regarding the sidebar Search... this is a problem's that's been there for a LONG time.

If I search for something that is 3 letters long, it will not perform a wildcard search. For example, if I search for "ice", the only result I get is Ice the Usul. But if I search for "cave", I get a whole list of things, from Help topics to Items to TCG cards - bascially everything with "cave" in it.

It's not an entirely urgent problem as it has been around for ages and most people have probably learnt how to get around this, but if you have time, it'd be nice if this was fixed.

PMed to you as well.

Just a quick note ... No banner problems this morning :) However, I am getting alot of lag, pages are taking a very long time to load and are loading in bits and pieces. I'm also losing my internet connection (dial up) about every 20 minutes or so - only on Neopets.

I've cleaned everything out, installed/reinstalled my ISP adapter, rebooted and just went to different sites online - no problems (well some pages load slow - but what can I do there?) ... but not the little bit at a time and just here and there kind of page loading and definitely no connection loss anywhere else. Are some things being worked on?

OH! I just remembered this! Umm, the font color html for our shop items/prices hasn't been working for a while (a week or so?). Is that something permanent or just temporary as different things are being worked on/coded, whatever magic it is that you all do? thanks! :)

Off to the doctor ... bleh, will be trying the site again later.

The turmac roll banner makes me nauseous though... with it scrolling by all the time - I refresh whenever I see it. *covers mouth with hands*

The site was fine for me this morning, but now it's lagging and I'm experiencing glitches. I got a random event not too long ago, but the image was broken and the event itself was blank. Then, just now, I was moving my Tyrannian Paint Brush out of my SDB so I could put it in trades, but when I clicked on it, I was redirected to a page that told me "this item does not appear to be in your Safety Deposit Box!". When I checked my inventory, it wasn't there, and when I looked again in my SDB, it was missing. So I suggest people don't move their items for awhile.

Erin, Yikes! That's awful :o I am so sorry that happened. I hope it comes back (I know, things normally don't).

Thank you though for the heads up. I was going to go put my pet in for training, which would mean either getting from my sdb or buying a codestone. Which I know is nothing compared to a pb, but none of us need to be losing anything.

Asparagus Queen, just about all the ads have that effect on me ... I have an inner ear disorder and all that blinking flashing stuff on that big banner is just Ugh for me. The Turmac and the Auction ads are so far the worst. The mortog "kissy kissy" one actually had me laughing, I have to admit.

As long as you are asking: at times, like now, certain pages take forever to load--particularly shop wiz pages and then pages from individual shops. It seemed to be worse on the weekend and during the Snowager's nap time.

And, even more importantly, it has become glitchy once again--meaning, I am getting the white "'page cannot be displayed" error message after clicking on an item. I just lost an item due to one of these glitches when I tried to purchase a negg in someone's shop. The page took forever to load and then instead of loading, I got "page cannot be displayed." The negg was gone from the shop, the price of it was gone from my nps, yet I had no negg to show for it.

I was hoping that these nasty glitches had gone away for good--because I haven't had one hit me in a long time. Luckily, it was only 2400 nps and not an unbuyable item. But, just the fact that they are happening again will cause me to curtail my playing time significantly until they are fixed. In the past 16 months, I have lost over 1 million nps due to these glitches and sometimes, it isn't worth trying to play when that happens. And, now I just read that Erin lost an unbuyable. Poor thing!

Adam, it would be quite nice if you could either fix these glitches or at least compensate us for the lost items. I work for a company that installs PeopleSoft software, so I know that it is possible to do so.

Yes, I've just experienced those problems. Although it only has happened to me once, and I can now restock accordingly, and my items won't go away. I'm going to try to remove some gross food from my SDB, and see if it dissapears now. I'll edit this post with my results.

Ive just successfully removed Carawool from my SDB, and successfully put it back. I'm still guessing this glitch will still occur, but for me atleast, has died down or gone away.

Yup, I was pretty disappointed. :( I mean, I'm sort of used to it now (I've lost lots of things to glitches, and I certainly don't expect to get it back), but it's still upsetting. Plus, I currently have the impossible goal of saving for a Maraquan PB, so every little bit of np counts. Now I have to come up with an extra 250k from somewhere. *sigh*

Maybe I should give Neo up for awhile... this is depressing me...

Knives, with all of the glitches I have experienced (and some people do call me the glitch faerie), I have never once lost a piece of carawool or a poisonous jelly or tombola key chain or something that is basically worthless. It has always been something of value--and sometimes, great value. Naturally.

I see Morning Star, I really don't have any items of REAL costs in my inventory, although I do have a full set of codestones, and two or three bottled faeries. I'm going to risk it and try to remove the faeries and codestones for now, even though those aren't of much value anyway. I'm stil hearing that glitches are still occuring so after this, I might not be careless with my items as I usually am.

EDIT: All of them were taken out with no losses or malfunctions, and they were safely returned to my SDB. Glitch Faerie eh Morning? :P
