Shop Changes?

I think it's okay..very weird. What's really weird is the bottom where it says Total Items and Total Quantity. Makes me confused...

Oh! So that's why when I went to a shop for a burning potion it was above the line. I thought it was just an error in the coding because they had decorated their shop so heavily some of their banners were overlapping the item picture

Total items: how many items (does not include multiple items)
Total quantity: how much total (includes multiple items)

I know this doesn't exactly fit the topic but... has everyone noticed the changes to neomail? Now when you mail someone, it gives you a message under their screename that says "You should have no problem mailing this user", or something of the like. Saves a little time if they're under 13, I guess.

Or if they have blocked non-neofriend mails. I like this change, because I have experieces of wasting time typing long letters to a person only to find that he/she is under 13 or has blocked neomails.

Back on topic: I personally feel that both changes are cool, I hate large malls or galleries where there are thousands of items on sale and the item I want to find is right underneath. Pressing CTRL-F and searching is to troublesome. As for galleries, I don't see how they are affected much other than appearance-wise.

Apparently they've also put shops in pages of 100 items... I'm not sure if I like THAT idea, but the one above makes it all worth it. ^.^

I cannot figure out what you mean by pages of 100 items. Could someone explain it to me? Thanks

If there's a shop with 500 items, the items will be split up into different pages, each with 100 items. That way, people with slower modems can load huge shops a lot faster. If you want to see how this works, just view any shop with more than 100 items, like a gallery.

There's a tiny glitch... If the shop has 40 items, (1 of each), and you search for 'blue mirror', the blue mirror goes to the top, and the shop now says it has 41 items. It gets counted at the top, and in the regular shop space. It's not really a problem other than it throws the item quantity/numbers off. Doesn't change buying though...

I really like this new way of buying things; it's better for people who restock from user shops, it makes shops load a lot quicker, it doesn't take forever to find the item you want amongst 100's of other items.
The only disadvantage is that it ruins galleries, but I think you should be allowed 2 shops; 1 for selling stuff and a gallery.

mizzy, I sent that in as a suggestion almost 2 years ago (looking at the age of my main account). I had fallen for a fake log in page on my first account, took 2 months to get it back and in the meantime had started a new account - my now main.

I decided to make the first de-iced account my gallery account because I wanted a gallery, but needed a shop. I would really like to be able to have a shop and my gallery on one account, but it is late in the game for me now. I'd never want to close the other account, I've invested way too much time and energy into my pets, their home (I know they're useless but I like them), and I've grown to like having an "alter ego", since my main account is kind of happy and cheerful and my gallery is all "spooky" themed.

There is apparently a problem with the new system, Morningstar posted a topic - anything that isn't in the first 100 items won't be able to be bought, even though it's showing up on the shop wizard.

And as for the problem... It wouldn't be like Neopets to introduce a new system that worked first time
