does the lab ray work good for anyone?

I used to have a beautiful rainbow acara...then it changed it to a pink koi.

I almost cried when that happened :(

and I WILL not give my pets up...will post stats after lunch

It beats paying for training. *shrug*

I never had much luck with it. I zapped my pet MingoLokko for a while, but after two months of basically bad zaps (and seeing her as an ugly buzz) I gave up, morphed and painted her. :P

But Val, the lab keeps it interesting! I remember last winter and it zapped Tsairey into a gorgeous Snow Quiggle! Sigh* Now she is male green blumaroo but her stats aren't bad at all! 200+ hit points.

It is a very long term solution for cheap training. Like the stock market, it can take 6 months to notice a benefit, and a year or more to gain full profit from it. These days if you want to be good at 2-player battle people say that you should train along w/ your labbing, to keep your pets defense up. The lab raises hp and strength, but lowers level and either lowers defense or keeps it the same.

My lab pet has been a zafara since June, and is now invisible...such a boring color! :P

What would Honor do?

Exactly. It may take a while, but it's almost always beneficial in the long run. I can't complain, I started with an ixi, then had a kougra, and now she's an Island Cybunny. So... if you add up the price of a cybunny trans. potion plus an islnd paintbrush... yeah, it's been well worth it for me.

I think a Pink Kio would be cute! Don't like it? Keep zapping!

Pinky, I never tried to get the Lab Ray.
Now, after training my pet to level 40-something, after buying some paintbrushes... I see how much NP I am wasting. However, due to the levels he already has, and due to the color, getting the ray now would probably hurt much more than help.

So, yes, Lab Ray is a good thing. Yes, I should have taken the risk before. And yes, keep trying. One day it will give you the right pet

right now I have a split quiggle. Not as happy as with my RAINBOW acara. the acara was my first pet and my first painted pet.

I also have a fire meerca that was a green grundo...thanks magical plushie!

Desert Kau, it was blue and I didn't like it. now it's pretty nice.

And my FAVORITE painted pet...my faerie poogle.

pinkyt22 is my np name as well, feel free to look at my pets.

[is proud parent]

green ixi - darigan ixi
green cybunny - darigan cybunny

just there it doubled its cost.

:o WHat is it with you people getting those Darigan colors from the lab? I have a friend who has now gotten 2 different Darigan pets from the lab. I have had my lab for more than a year now and never gotten one Darigan from that lab yet! <I'm off to sulk now. . . :(

All sheer luck... I was fortunate to get it when my lab pet turned Kougra (before the "revamp".) I think the color I've gotten most has been Faerie oddly enough.

I'm too poor to get the lab map.

Better luck next time, anyhow

The lab's been good to me before. I got a sponge kiko now and also a sketch kau. My hps 118 and my attack's pretty good too. It just lowered my def too low and my level too low. I stopped using it on my main pet now to train it properly

The pets has been fun to lab.. :D (I'm a mad scientist  )

I started labbing my main pet 1 - 2 months before the war and stopped after the war because it gave too many hit points and I can't train the other stats properly.. now I am still working to catch up on the levels ^_^;;

So I adopt pound pets to zap and put them back into the pound.. through the course of labbing I have gotten many awesome colours.. almost all of which I have given away..

Examples include grey lupe (which I passed around to my friends for the avatar.. but ultimately it got lost :( ), darigan lupe and eyrie, about 10 fruit/veggie chias.. and others.. I always wished I kept a log of the pets I gave away after they get painted though.. but am always too lazy to start lol

So I highly recommend getting the lab ray to everyone.. especially if you don't mind what kind of "look" your pet has :P
