I MUST download that when I get home from work.
Wow.

During the summer my boss INSISTED on playing a top 40 station every day all day and they played Ashlee Simpson and Avril Lavigne at least once every hour-hourandhalf. It was the most frustrating summer ever.

Seeing this would make it all worthwhile.

Ha, serves her right. Never liked her anyway, so :P

Wow.

I feel a little bad for her, but I don't really think lipsyncing is a very fair move when people pay good money to go see these people.

Sad on Ashlee, her band, and her fan's part, but I suppose if you play it like that, this is bound to happen.

I think its really rude that everyone here is saying she can't sing and stuff, though.

I dont understand whats so rude about it? Were just telling the truth. Saying she can't sing doesnt mean I'm being rude I'm just stating a fact.

I guess Saterday Night Live ain't so live any more

It's because SNL is live that something like this could happen =D

And I'm so glad I watched it last night. I definitely don't feel sorry for her. Watching her sing her first song, I already knew that she was lip-synching. And that smile at the end, that was definitely a "nyah nyah I just lip-synched and some of you bought it" smile. I may have had felt a teeny bit sorry for her. BUT when it came to the end of the show and she blamed her band for the fiasco?! At that point there was no way I could feel sorry for her. If anything, her band tried to save her! Yeesh.

But anyway, it was a great moment in television. :roflol:

Is that what she was saying at the end of the show? Trying to put the blame on the band?

UUUUGH!! What a loser :loser:

And yeah... I think anyone with half a brain could've figured out that she was lipsyncing the first song.
Or maybe she was pulling a Janet Jackson.... have the song with voice going on really loud.. and have their mike on just a little bit... so no one can actually say they're lipsyncing since they are actually singing.... it's just that no one can hear anything but the original.

hmm.. that make sense? :P rofl

She needs suspenders and baggy pants to hoe down better....

Just watched it. VERY funny! When she stormed off and the band were playing, they looked quite smug. And who can blame them?

I have no respect for that little snot. She goes around badmouthing other artist when she's doing the same thing. Hypocrite. I'm glad she was humiliated and everyone got to see what a horrible person she really is. Her blaming it on her band shows what kind of person she is.

Agreed! The poor guy has to play with a pink guitar, for Pete's sake. I saw him laughing slightly, and I am glad the band took it the way they did.
They tried to cover up for the mistake and Ashlee points her little finger at them. It's disgusting.

Mon Oct 25, 2004 6:03 pm

Maybe the band slipped some money to the sound guy to make that event possible. ;P They do look quite amused by the entire situation, though, don't they?

Pfft, she's crap anyway. I wouldn't expect any less of her.
In fact, congratulations to her, she really is an entertainer :D

ON a side note, I saw Hilary Duff miming on Des and Mel once, which was great fun, because her band were taking the mick the whole time...doing really bad miming of playing their instruments and laughing their heads off...hilarious

Uh...uhhh...uhhhh... *does a ho-down dance*

By the way, MTV finally reported this:

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/149299 ... lines=true

Although they are a tad biased (they're really close with the Simpson family), it's a pretty good article. There's cussing -- Miss Simpson seems to have a potty mouth -- so don't read if you're easily offended.

I predict lots of booing her way at the Radio Music Awards.
