I lost all respect for the entire Neopets Staff when Adam posted on THIS FORUM that my account had been frozen because I was 'giving items to a big cheat'. How eloquent and insightful of him. I senttwo items to a friend of mine who had made a new account after being frozen, and now MY 'Fiddelysquat' account is gone, and they obviously knew that I wasn't a multiple account of my friend's! Have they responded to a single e-mail of mine? No, they ruddy well haven't! If tacky McDonald's toys are more important than customer service, that says alot. We should give as much respect to TNT as they give to us. None.
As for the numerous glitches plaguing the site, do you all have any idea how much money that site makes? You'd think they could afford two or three extra techies to make sure the site doesn't crash every 5 minutes! In the past 24 hours, that site's been down twice, and that's only the times I checked. It could have been more!
I'm sick of being treated like a precocious 3-year-old when they say ridiculous things like, "Oops! *giggle* Meepits ate your petpets, shops, and avatars!" We're not too dim-witted to be told, "Sorry, guys! Our site is being a bit glitchy at the moment. We're working on restoring everybody's petpets, avatars, faerie abilities, and shops. Don't worry, you'll get your items back."
Not a WORD about the missing items was posted on the News Page. The time it would have taken to add that statement can't be more than 2 minutes, if that! The NeoBoards were pandemonium because nobody from the Staff said a word about the very apparent problem. What, do they think if they don't mention it, it'll just go away? A lot of worrying would've been saved if just one calming sentence had been posted in the news.
We go to their site, we click on their sponsor links, we play their promotional games, and we buy their overpriced merchandise. I think we all deserve 30 seconds of their time for a few reassuring words.

I'm not saying I agree with people who disagree with what's been said here or not, but you just contradicted yourself. If you have the right to say how you feel when something happens, then they have just as much right to express their opinions.

I applaud your eloquence, Fiddelysquat! I too was rather disappointed by the lack of care and was heard to mutter, "A
little unstable?!
some parts of this weekend? By all that's holy, I'll send them a big print dictionary with the words little and some underlined in highlighter!"

Exactly. You aren't the only one who gets an opinion. I can say anything I want to here as long as it follows the rules, same to you.
Fidds- I didn't realize not a word of it was on the news. Now, that- I find just wrong. Yes, it is just a game, but if you're going to run a game, you should run it well and with respect for your players.

I didn't contradict myself. There's a difference between expressing dismay and displeasure at having something go wrong with a company, and criticizing someone for how they feel.
We're all talking about how annoyed we are at losing items to glitches and getting bad "customer service," and people like Dawn2 are basically telling us to stop whining because TNT does some good things, too. We know they do; we enjoy the site, and that's why we play. But when things go horribly wrong and we get no explanation -- and, in many cases, no compensation --we have the right to complain without being told, basically, to shut up.

I mean if you are moving stuff to from one server to the next, that's a planned event, correct? It wouldn't hurt them to say, "Look, we're moving things, so if any glitches occur, please, inform us immediately so we can fix it."
Nope, not a word, just that insipid little two whopping big lines of nothingness. So, to be a snark-headed little annoyance, I bug report things that I see that is a bug.. because if it bugs most of us, that's what it is. I would rather not have Neopets pulling a Microsoft and calling a bug a "feature".

I never said to shut up. I just said to consider that the site isn't real.

I think we're all quite aware of that fact.

Then why is everyone making a big deal of it? I get it now what TNT did wrong, but some people are making way too big of a deal out of it.
I'm done arguing with everyone today. I have my own opinion and that's not going to change. Same thing with those of you opposing me. I'm leaving all the arguments from now on because I won't have people telling me I can't express my opinion.

Auctions, TP, Inventory SDB, and NP on hand are all glitchy still. When something this major is occuring, they need to shut down the site and fix it. Now I'm really loosing faith in them. Total, I've lost 300K in items and 200K in pure NP. I'm staying off the site for a while.
Edit:
Forgot to mention: It seems that since year 3, Neopets has been tearing itself apart. It a miracle that it's lasted this long.

Dawn2, I took issue with the fact that you implied we all have no right to complain about bad customer service, and I didn't like your comment about how you shouldn't have wasted your time posting here (that post implied, I felt, that you thought you were clearly right about this and we were all just too obtuse to "get it"). That's all. It's not really worth arguing over, so I'm with you on the whole dropping it thing.

I agree. It's gone down hill in the two years that I've been there. Too much fame, perhaps?

Alright, I apologize for any harshness in my posts. I admit to taking it a bit too far and should of been more mature and let the matter rest.

*pokes adam* Alright, hand over the slorg flakes NOW, and no one gets hurt!
